The food here is divine. Think tasty, nourishing, comforting soups / fresh, flavorful, interesting salads. Wonderful pasta dishes, sandwiches and daily specials. Fiver Friday’s are always delicious.

For those of us trying to be vegans in Ireland it is getting easier and easier, especially in Dublin. But it's much more of a stretch in the West, in small towns like Kenmare. The Bookstop vegetarian cafe is a still fairly unknown and hard...More

I’m sorry that we could not accommodate your teenager son with our vegetarian/vegan menu, As we are a small cafe we decided not to do breakfast menu after 11.30. I do remember you sat in the garden and we were full at the time. I...More

The staff are very friendly, warm. Plenty of space. So I wondered about why so many tables were free. Specials showed vegetarian main course around eu11.50. I wasn't very hungry and wanted something small and tasty that wasn't a sandwich / pitta. Had a vegetarian...More

Lovely homemade vegetarian food. Enjoyed an avocado salad and a hummus salad with a shared slice of chocolate cake. Surrounded by thousands of books to browse or buy, a relaxing place to break up the day. Nothing lacking if you’re looking for veggie food.
