We've been here before and were looking forward to the slow cooked beef shoulder which is pulled from the bone and pressed into circular moulds served with a very rich sauce and garlic mash. Thankfully it was on the menu. All four of us ordered this and it was brilliant as ever. Sometimes it's not on the menu but beef... More
At the end of a decent 7 mile yomp we needed some refreshment. It was after 2:30pm but landlady was very friendly and said no problem as kitchen open until 3pm. Great local beers, solid tasty food - lamb shank shepherd pie was great. Dogs very welcome too.
Popped in here for a drink before dinner in our rented cottage nearby. Buzzy atmosphere and cosy decor. Would definitely come back when next in the area.

We recently stayed in Tideswell on our fourth visit with my sister and brother-in-law and once again enjoyed excellent food at the Red Lion. Jeanie is just a wonderful landlord and goes out of her way to make you visit comfortable and enjoyable. The food is wonderful and I can definitely recommend the homemade steak and ale pie. There is... More

Prices were about the same as other local pubs. Unfortunately we only had time for a sandwich, but I would love to return for a meal. Walker and fog friendly, but children under 6... More
We were recommended to visit this pub whilst we were on holiday in Litton Mill and so the family of 3 generations and 3 dogs called in on our way home from a visit to Bakewell. The pub itself is quite small and very popular and although we did not get to eat there the menu looked lovely and the... More
