If you're into burgers then don't miss Five Points. In Berry St North Sydney just before Walker St. the burgers here are outstanding. I had a Manhattan. Thick juicy beef patty, lettuce, pickle, cheese etc. and fries that are some of the best. Thick & crunchy on the outside & soft & fluffy on the inside. Don't understand the logo though, two meat cleavers, I would have thought a huge burger more appropriate.

Manhattan burger is fabulous. A good honest tasty burger which doesn’t leave you hungry or stuffed. A happy medium grill and fill.

Don’t pass go, don’t collect your $200 bucks in Monopoly money, get yourself down to Five Points for a simply amazing burger!
As a true burger purest I’d recommend the Manhattan Burger, simply wicked! Old school cheeseburger, done flawlessly.

Consistently good burgers and fries and friendly service. Unfortunately too close to where I live, so too tempting, too often - but when they burgers are this good what can you do but indulge. Yes you are paying a little more than fast food chains - but you are paying for a quality burger!
They close at 5.30pm most weekdays - Thur/Fri later...........

I was suckered in by the menu promising medium-rare beef patties. I’d actually been told that the health authorities had clamped down on that but most good places in Sydney cooks theirs to a juicy medium level, so I was very disappointed when the one at Five Points came out closer to well-done. It was good quality beef though and the rest of the burger came together well (a bit bland in the sauces department, could have done with more aioli and less mustard), so if you like the living daylights cooked out of your beef, you might like Five Points. They’re expensive burgers though, so I wasn’t impressed. The staff are also hard to understand (the noisy road doesn’t help) and seem to write down orders on paper in a foreign script, so make sure to get it read back to you before you pay.

Tried the Brooklyn, except I swapped the mustard for chipotle sauce. It was pretty good. My only recommendation is to share the chips instead of getting one for yourself.
The paddy was quite tasty and cooked nicely. I felt it could have used a little more sauce, but I will definitely be back!

The chips were well flavoured and crisp. I had their vegetarian mushroom burger which was very disappointing. The bun was a similar texture to a mcdonalds burger but more rubbery. No options were given for the bread type. The mushroom lacked flavour and the only positive component was the capsicum relish.

I’ve been living in North Sydney for 3 months for work, originally from the US where I love a good burger.
I’ve tried all of the burgers around and these guys have the best setup, period. On top of great food, the service/staff are outstanding.
Do yourself a favor and eat here. Best avoided between noon and 1:00, but even then it’s worth the wait.

Good quality burger, tasty meat and nice bun. They have the option of cooking your burger medium rare, or you can choose how you want it done.
Good amount of lettuce and pickle. Cheese is melted on top of the burger and the sauce is nice.
If the restaurant gets busy they also serve their burgers in the foyer of the building next door, where it is easier to get a seat.
There are also bunch of open air tables just down the road

This has become a fan favourite in our office. A group of us go here on a Friday about once a month. The best burgers in north Sydney and don't get me started on the crispy fries!

If this is supposed to be inspired by a Fat Duck alumnus, I've changed my mind about going there. Five Points is the only burger joint I've ever been to where there's a queue to get in at 11:30 am. Very friendly staff and rapid service despite the never-ending lunchtime queue but.....The burger I had, the ever-popular Bronx, was about half-way in taste and quality between a Hungry Jack's Whopper or the Classic Angus Gourmet burger at Maccas and the excellent burgers at Grill'd (especially the Mustard and Pickled!). Nothing amazing nor inspired for the $13. The beer battered fries ($4 extra) were crunchy but very greasy. Couldn't finish mine which was a first. Sparse metal tables all had bottles of water and plastic cups, knives and forks (!!??), small brown paper napkins and some cheap-tasting no-name tomato sauce and yellow mustard but nicely intensely capsicum-flavoured hot chili sauce, No salt or pepper. Another let-down was the $7 Salted Caramel milkshake: way too much salt and like drinking mildly sweet milky seawater. Another item that I couldn't finish (another first) Do yourself a favour and check out Rascal in Newcastle if you want the best burger in Australia, IMHO.

I love a good saucy burger. This place delivered. Lovely soft brioche bun, crisp lettuce, juicy meat patty, and oozy double cheese. I ordered the Brooklyn, hubby had the Bronx. Would have been nice with some fresh Spanish onion for a textural element but still tasty. We shared some beer-battered fries which for the price was plentiful and an old-fashioned vanilla milkshake- not thickshake if you're wondering, quite malty in flavor. All around good grub. Fresh and made to order. Only downside is it's location and size. Can get pretty crowded quickly and even if you take it takeaway, there isn't anywhere you can sit down and eat it. If you're in North Sydney and are hankering for a burger, head to this spot.

The downside of working in North Sydney is that every lunchtime I sense the lure of another great burger from Five Points... Yes - they're that good.
Keep in mind - this place is a part takeaway / part eat-in hole-in-the-wall restaurant - so don't go expecting fine dining. The place is packed on most days - with most people standing waiting to order or collect their food. In fact - getting a table for 2-3 people isn't too hard.
The burgers are simple, but very well executed. (My mouth is starting to water as I write this...) My favourite is the "Brooklyn".
Warning - a side of chips really is suitable for two people - though I have been known to finish it myself!
If you haven't been, do it. Definitely a step-up from other takeaway burger options.
