Had a job find a parking spot in the car park on a Tueday lunch time. That must say something about how popular this place is. The beer was good and the baguette sandwiches were very tasty. Will come back here again when next in Bakewell.

Maybe the food is good but the place seemed a bit unwelcoming, barman didn't fill pints, garden was noisy as the aircon extraction blows out to one end..

Found the Ashford Arms on the Internet, never been there nor knew anyone who had.Booked over the phone for 31 people. Was asked to preorder to help the kitchen which I did and sent the order by post. 42 people turned up and all were accommodated no problem. They do not serve pies on Friday but the preorder included pies.... More

Staff were friendly and efficient and the food was fine. We went on Pie Night and enjoyed wholesome fare. The waitress dealt with some demanding diners with admirable patience!

We went for my daughters birthday and instead of reserving one table we were split between two, not a good start. The boy who came to take our orders did not seem to know what day it was. We had a four year old with us and because it was Sunday lunch there were no children's option. We were expected... More

Visited the pub for lunch before a walk around the local area, and having never visited before myself my first impression was pride and professionalism, waitresses and waiter swiftly walking by each other with pints and plates balanced high, as we mad our way to the airy back room with long Windows and lots of natural sunlight. The table had... More
