This truly is a strange place! Nothing wrong with the coffee but as other reviewers have commented there are some odd touches such as the the tv screen in fireplace. This is an old building but it really is in a bad way, especially the stairs and bathroom.

We settled ourselves in for tea and cake after a very long walk. It was difficult to find a table to accommodate five adults but we squeezed on to a table by the window. The room was dingy, the cloth was dirty but it was the state of the avocado bathroom that sent us running out. Like a previous reviewer,... More

called in after a walk and it is a quirky place and 5 booths and seating outside if weather permits - choice is simple and makes a change - saves on too much choice and things running out at the end of the day - value for tea and tea cakes at £4.50 - it is towards the train station... More

Found this lovely little coffee house purely by chance. Friendly welcome on entering into what seemed like someone's private home. Sat in the last available comfy little booth; there are 5 in total with seating outside if weather permits. I had a cup of coffee and home baked scone with 'proper' clotted cream - delicious. The 70s avocado bathroom suite... More

We have been here several times over the years, it is quirky and if you want a good cup of coffee or tea in quirky, unusual surroundings , this is the place. No fast food , lattes but good wholesome food ser4ved in a 17th century room or outside in the garden if weather permits. The slightly warm ginger cake... More

Home made warm cake and coffee on a chilly January day. Dusty surfaces, wobbly tables, crooked pictures all added to the delight of this coffee room. Set in an old town house with narrow spaces and corridors it's a piece of history. The owner served us using a huge feather pen with wistful long grey hair and a wonderful friendly... More

The owner, Mr Salvation, greeted us in Dickensian dress. He was cheerful and we enjoyed a good cup of coffee and toasted teacakd

Chanced upon this coffee shop and absolutely loved it. Quaint, different and fun. Not for people who want a huge menu and lots of fancy coffees but for those who love the bizarre (fire is a computer generated image complete with sound effects) and eighties avocado bathroom suite. Eccentric to say the very least and we absolutely loved every minute... More

It was a rare sunny day & my husband & I were looking for a place to have coffee in the sunshine. We came across this coffee shop & walked through into the garden at the back only to find that it did not actually get any sun, so we decided to leave & try elsewhere. As we were walking... More

Found this wee gem of a coffee shop in Bradford-on-Avon. Sat in a beautiful, sunny and secluded garden where we were served by the owner - orders taken using a quill! This place does not give you multiple types of fancy coffee but is quaint and characterful, a world apart from Costa, Starbucks and the like. We weren't eating but... More
