The wine and beer were great. Reasonably priced and very nice. The food was terrible... A "rib burger" that was some sort of mice patty. I guess the animals it was made from had ribs at some stage but that was the only claim this burger had to being anything like a rib. The pizza was warmed (not quite enough)... More

Thankyou for your review. We at The Bell apologise that your experience was not a good one. A burger by definition is a patty of minced beef or similar meat (in this case pork rib seasoned with smokey BBQ spices) so I'm not sure what you were expecting when you ordered the BBQ Rib Burger. Our handmade pizzas are very... More

The Bell is a fantastic village pub under its new management. Andy, Lorraine and family provide a warm welcome, good, honest pub food and always make our little girls feel welcome. The Sunday carvery is excellent. Since re-opening the pub in September (2016), they have worked hard to get to know the village, support events and be very much part... More

As a result of an advert in a local paper my wife and I visited the re-vitalised Bell to sample the Sunday carvery. Our reception was warm and cordial and we discovered that most of the staff were family members. This gave a pleasant atmosphere, reflected in the quiet ambience even though the Inn was well attended for lunch. It... More

We are local and friends recommended trying fish and chips to take away. We rang the Bell Inn and our food was ready in 15 mins. Really great fish and chips, lovely crispy batter and HUGE bit of fish, peas and a lemon wedge. We will be back! The pub looked lovely. Really friendly staff both on the phone and... More

Visited the bell at the weekend and found it to be a great little place. Relatively new owners have made it a place worth visiting. Good quality local beers and a mulled cider set the Christmas scene. Food was classic British pub food but at an excellent price and tasted fantastic too. If you're a fan of burgers you'll live... Avoid the service centres on the A303 and do yourself a huge favour by popping in here for lunch. A minute off the main road and you're in a different world. Quaint village with this pub, to enjoy a meal and a drink. Cosy pub with roaring fire. Excellent food, and warm friendly hospitality.

On our way home from Cornwall we had 1 more stop before the long-weekend-break was over 😭 'Just take the next exit and we'll find somewhere for lunch' I said. And he did. In less than 5 minutes we had chanced upon The Bell Inn, parked and gone inside. Its kerb appeal is pretty good. Inside it's even better. We... More

Recently called in for Sunday lunch with family, enjoyed the Sunday carvery(week 2 and looking very successful)as well as the warmest welcome and cozy atmosphere. Staff went out of their way to help, excellent service and very attentive. The food was fresh and delicious and there was plenty of it. Great choice of beers too. Looking forward to sampling more...
