We've not been to Hillers restaurant for some time but called in for a light lunch when passing and a visit to the adjacent farmshop. It's been extended since our last visit so now has a less crowded feel about it with more space between the tables. There's an extensive menu including a specials board. I had the asparagus -... On 6th May 2017, I took my wife to Hillers Garden Restaurant in Dunnington as part of our 2nd wedding anniversary celebration weekend. We had a look around the very impressive farm shop before sitting down for lunch in the restaurant. My wife said the ham and pickle sandwiches were the best that she'd ever had and my prawn sandwich... More

We arrive early as we fancied a brunch and both opted for the full English. It was delicious with the ingredients clearly being well sourced. The sausages in particular were delicious. It was a huge portion and great value for money. Well worth a try if you arrive early enough.

Always busy, visited Easter Tuesday midday. Slow service, then food order incorrect so had to wait even longer. Disappointing. Frequent visitor over past couple of years, but will not be rushing back after last weeks experience. Shame.

Was treated to Breakfast at Hillers for my Birthday by my Girlfriend. It was a lovely sunny day and we sat in the garden room (like a marquee). My girlfriend had a lovely cup of coffee (we're coffee snobs) whilst I had a nice pot of tea. I had a full English and my other half had Eggs Royal. Both... More

I love to shop at Hillers as the produce is nice quality and fresh. Though I have never eaten at the restaurant until yesterday. We ordered fish which tasted nice and the service was good however we regret having the fish. All day we have had food poisoning which as you can imagine is not fun. I certainly won't be... More

we enjoyed a light lunch with friends. There is an extensive choice of menu and it is very good value. Might be an idea to book in the busy times. Good choice of sandwiches, salads and cooked meals as well as teatime choices. Service is quick and friendly

Description
The highly acclaimed Garden Restaurant is perfect for relaxing after shopping. Sink into soft leather sofas with a coffee and the newspapers, or lunch alfresco on the garden terrace and enjoy glass of wine with friends. Serving delicious home-made meals cooked from fresh local produce ensures that lunch times are always a hubbub of activity, so table bookings are strongly recommended at these busy times. Serving breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and light refreshments throughout the day. Everything is freshly prepared by the chef and his team, using produce from the Farm Shop and Fish Shop. We open all day and the chef regularly changes the specials board.
