Amazing food and service

We have visited twice in the last 2 weeks and have another table booked for this Saturday as we absolutely love the food at panache50 and the service is amazing every time. The staff are always checking on you to see if you would like more drinks or to check everything is ok with your meal. The two times we have dined here have been as a couple so we are taking the whole family next time as we cannot recommend them enough.

We received a very warm welcome. The menu is extensive and the waiters are willing to discuss your choices and adjust the level of spice to your personal taste. The food was wonderful with dishes on the menu that I have never seen before. The main course I ordered was slightly spicier than I expected. I asked for some yoghurt and the person serving us immediately offered to change the dish. There was no need a little yoghurt tamed the spice and the flavour was lovely. Service was really good but not intrusive and we were able to take our time and enjoy our delicious meal.

Wonderful Meal

This was our 1st visit in 2020 but previous visits in 2019 had never disappointed. The whole experience was just wonderful, from service through most importantly the food itself. There were 5 of us and all agreed that it was the best curry we had all had in a long time. I had chicken, lamb and mushroom jaipur which was delicious, among the other meals 2 of our group had chicken chettinad which I will have next time as it was simply gorgeous. The spiced potatoes side dish that was given on the house was also really tasty. There was simply no aspect of this meal that disappointed. We will definitely be returning.

Delicious food, and attentive service

Nice ambiance, stylish decor, clean and tidy. Welcoming staff, shown to a table with a crisp white tablecloth. Poppadoms offered and brought immediately whilst perusing a good menu with a selection of typical dishes but also a range of less usual dishes. Food was of a high standard, delicious and very reasonably priced. Service was very efficient, attentive and friendly. Will definitely be returning with friends, and can highly recommend this establishment.

I can’t emphasize enough on the Al carte menu panache50 holds the lamb shank was just absolutely amazing, tender meat just melts in your mouth with balanced spices it serves with a pilau rice, my wife had a jinga Jalab she said the same…. It’s a must try, book in advance to avoid disappointment. Thank you to panache50.

Excellent food, big portions

We ordered a takeaway over the phone and collected it 30 mins later on time. We’re not the most adventurous with our Indian meals so was a chicken korma, chicken tikka massala, mushroom rice, plain naan and peshwari naan. Both mains were excellent and full of flavour and plenty of chicken. The naans were fresh and really nice. This is our Indian restaurant/takeaway of choice now.

As per usual, you just can’t fault this establishment, you know the eating experience is going to be second to non. The staff and the cosy environment is lovely. The food is just perfect especially the starter I requested, which the chef had not cooked before ( pre requested) You have to try...

Superb Food and Service

Its seems I last reviewed this restaurant 4 years ago in 2017 when we visiting a friend in Alcester and once again we tried the restaurant on 27th May. There were three of us and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. As I was driving I had to ask for a soft drink and chose a large lemonade. My suggestion would be to add low alcohol beers and wines to the drinks menu. My lamb shank was perfect and my wife and friend has superb chicken dishes. The whole meal only came to just over £60 for the three of us. We must come again!

Nice Period Building and staff but Under par Indian Food

1st and last time we will visit this restaurant. The poppadoms were fine however the onion salad was marinated in some sort of vinegar which tasted awful! The main course was delivered within less than 10 minutes of ordering!! Which shocked us, there is no way they could have cooked this fresh, the alarm bells were ringing, the chicken felt like a mush & obviously has been previously cooked, no real taste or flavours coming through, we’ve had better microwave ready meal Indians from the supermarkets. The overall cost was very expensive for the food on offer and cost for the drinks was outrageous, cobra at £5.95 a pint which was flat & a small soda water with a dash of lime £3.25 an absolute rip off! In summary this was very poor Indian meal experience for what we thought was going to be top notch based on the location/building and their website.

Hi thanks for taking a very long time writing this review. I do recall you dining at panache50. 1. The first moment you came in you made my colleagues change your table 3 times of your choice. We still have you the table you requested. 2. Your food did not come out in 10 minutes at all so I think you’re gone over the top here. You can’t even microwave 4 mains in ten minutes. 3. The onions salad we provide is one of our house specials we serve with our condiments. 4. The drink price you said was expensive. All of our prices are on the menu so you should look at them before you order. Not wen you paying the bill. The whole evening you enjoyed it as you said when asked through your meal. Lastly I want to explain Things have gone up in prices since a few years now an we haven’t change any prices at all. I don’t no where you can get cheap beer else You also when leaving the restaurant was very arrogant a rude to my colleagues a yet my staff was still patient with you. We did not want to embarrass you in front of your family members an other patrons. I would appreciate next time you done at any other establishment please be nice to the staff because elsewhere they want take that comment off you. Also you mentioned you won’t return. That’s entirely up to you because we rather not have customers like that. Many thanks for your custom. Once again hope you find a better a cheaper place to dine at.

Great Thali

We really love the Wednesday Night Thalia Night. We have been a few time and the staff are very welcoming and attentive but even the food is great. The thali gives us a variety of tastes without eating too much, but you certainly don't come home hungry.

Not a good day at the office

I have ordered form here at least once a month since living here, me and my partner have absolutely loved it everything we have ordered. Iv got to say this as it may be a one off today took nearly two hours for delivery it was a horror experience, food was really bland no flavour I had a lamb balti it had more onions than meat and the onions were not even cooked to be honest I had four pieces of lamb, no free onion bhaji after spending over 40 pound . I am going to put it down as a blip but today was bad

Ray and his team have been doing a fantastic job since lockdown 1. We have enjoyed several meals in the restaurant since restrictions eased. Now back in lockdown 2 we have just ordered a delivery and it’s 10/10 again and the restaurant is really busy. Great people, great food 🥘

Saturday evening was the second occasion in a month that we ordered takeaway food. It was so fresh and delicious. We couldn’t fault anything. Ok it’s a little more expensive but worth every penny. We will be regularly visiting the restaurant when they are able to open.

Top quality food - Lovely people

Indian style food is amongst my favourite genre. I have been an aficionado for over fifty years migrating from my mothers home cooked versions to the famous 'curry houses' in the Balti Triangle' in Sparkhill, Birmingham. We have a family take away a couple of times a month an as we were in the area decided to give Panache 50 a go. Our experience eating in a few years ago was indifferent so we were unsure what to expect. We ordered a Chicken Tikka Biryani and a Lamb Balti, we had a side dish of cauliflower and lentils with a couple of nann bread. It was delicious, absolutely wonderful. The flavours were all there, a tiny bit spicer than our local restaurant but all the more better for that. The portion sizes were good, the order served four of us with some to spare. My wife an daughter collected the food and said the staff were extremely friendly. Well done Panache, we will be returning very soon. The only suggestion is a little less red food colouring, there was not much but it's not needed, the food speaks for itself. Oh, there is a decent car park, and, although it's not so obvious on the website, there is 15% discount on take away food.
