Having visited Donegal many times over the past couple of years, no trip is complete without a trip to the Glen! Whether bringing friends or family, young or old, it is such a pleasure to introduce someone new to the Glen. A friendly welcome, fun with the locals, and excellent drinks, including a fantastic range of gins and craft beers... More

From the first minute we walked through the doors it was like we were old friends and the welcome we got was exceptional. Top marks for the food, one of them most enjoyable restaurants I have ever eaten in. Service was excellent and mighty value. If in the area, a must!!

Every time I have been back in Donegal I make a pilgrimage here in his honour and quaff another pint. This time we also had a meal in the restaurant. It was... More

We just went to the tea rooms for lunch. Had two nice sandwiches - pulled pork roll and roast beef on flat bread. Good ikea high chair for the wee boy. Nice plain wholesome lunch with excellent service. The pub next door looked lovely.....

If you're staying within 20 miles of this restaurant it's certainly worth a visit. I almost don't want to recommend it as it's bound to make it busier and more difficult to get a table ! Cormac, the owner, is equally at home in the kitchen or as front of house. The staff are very friendly and have been superbly... More

Was here for my Christmas party and didn't know what to expect food wise. The food was absolutely delicious and would 100% recommend. Its expensive but it's quality food and you know its quality sourced. Will 100% be back

The food was generally ok except for sourdough that was as hard as a rock but 12€ for a glass of wine was unbelievable out in the middle of nowhere. The other issue we had was that when we were halfway through our main course 12 people were placed at a table less than 2 feet from our table and... More

A great wee pub where we always head to for a pint or two whilst staying in Downings/Donegal. Oustanding food and a family friendly atmosphere in the main bar, we always enjoy a visit to Glen!!! On a good day they have a lovely open garden area outside to take your pint!
