My mom and I had eaten here about a month ago, with no complaints at all. Today, I picked up 2 house salads and pizzas (the lunch special) and not more than an hour after my husband and I both had the salad, we both had big D (diarrhea, to those not familiar with the colloquial). So..........

I ignored earlier reviews since they were a bit dated, and the sign said, "We love spedini and spumoni!" So I thought, maybe they've improved, and I can get some good Italian food! Unfortunately, those items were not even on the menu! Just a bunch of basic stuff--spaghetti, ravioli, Alfredo, steaks, and other WAY overpriced items. I paid $12+ for... More

Really wanted to love this place as other family members recommend it. On plus side, huge menu, delicious salads and tutti mare, and tables/booths separated enough to enjoy conversations. It is the lack of small things that add up to average rating: no butter for bread, waitstaff just this side of rude, cramped parking, and a dingy interior. Not bad,... More

We have dined at Gianino's several times over the years and have always found the service to be inconsistent. Sometimes, you will be treated very well and other times you will practically be ignored by the wait staff. On our last visit to St. Louis, we stopped with friends because this venue was close to their home. Honestly, for my... More

We found the menus to have a great selection. We first ordered the chicken wings which were meaty and tasty. Our dinners were really excellent. We ordered the tutti mare and ravioli. Both were excellent! Salads were also good. Linda was a gracious hostess and our waitress was Carmen. Linda would stop by the table to ask how we were... More

Gathered last night with a group of friends at Gianino's. It was chosen by another in our group of about 10. Pros- Easy to get to on south Lindbergh. Service for our larger group was good. Special private room available. Cons- Tight parking Dated interior with laughably bad wall treatment in our room Beer selection limited to a small collection... More

We took our boys out to dinner last night at Gianino's. It appeared to be a popular dining spot and although we called ahead we still waited about 20 minutes to be seated. The atmosphere is pleasant and our waitress was friendly. We all ordered pizzas and they were good not great but fair. Overall it was an evening we... More

I visited here with my husband, daughter, and a couple of our friends a few nights ago. We sat down and and someone had seated us right away, so I thought that was a good sign. Me and my friend both ordered a dish that came with broccoli and when we tasted it, it did not have a good flavor.... More

Lets start off by saying the pizza was awesome. Get it to go. Bottom line. We decided to stop in on Sunday afternoon. We were seated right away by a hostess that had a not so friendly scowl on here face. A few minutes later our server brought menus and asked what we wanted to drink, maybe some wine she... More

We had large tossed salads with their very good house made Italian dressing. The warm sliced Italian bread was excellent. I was glad to see they had lower calorie choices, and I ordered chicken pasta primavera with a light sauce and plenty of vegetables. Our waiter was attentive and pleasant. The restaurant is family friendly. There is adequate off street... More
