We were staying elsewhere in the village but the Jug & Glass was recommended - and very convenient. My wife and I shared the Homemade Chicken Liver and Cointreau Pate as a starter which was nothing special - unlike our main courses. My wife chose...More

We've eaten here a few times, and it is friendly with generous portions of good home made pub food, and traditional British puddings, with a good range of beers in a lovely location.

Unfortunately we were really disappointed, the room was of a poor quality, although the owner profusely apologised it was totally unsuitable. The accommodation needs upgrading as I'm sure if this could match the enthusiasm...More

Delicious starters of goats cheese & pate. Main meal was a lovely fillet steak and a fantastic sauce however the frozen chips certainly spoilt it.....Do not expect frozen chips when you are paying £17 for a steak

Hi yes one of the staff is called Maggie, and she's great - friendly, efficient, and not pushy. She's one of the lovely team who make the Jug such a fab pub
