We've eaten here a few times, and it is friendly with generous portions of good home made pub food, and traditional British puddings, with a good range of beers in a lovely location.

Arrived at the Jug & Glass Saturday afternoon, with high expectations. Unfortunately we were really disappointed, the room was of a poor quality, although the owner profusely apologised it was totally unsuitable. The accommodation needs upgrading as I'm sure if this could match the enthusiasm...More

Delicious starters of goats cheese & pate. Main meal was a lovely fillet steak and a fantastic sauce however the frozen chips certainly spoilt it.....Do not expect frozen chips when you are paying £17 for a steak

We live 3 miles (walk) from this pub and use it as our preferred walk and lunch venue from home when friends visit. Quality beer, friendly welcome and pretty decent pub grub make it a good spot especially if the weather works for sitting outside....More

We were there with 5 adults, 3 kids and a baby and we accommodated (probably wisely!) in a separate room off the bar. The service was good and the food was excellent. Good kids menu and the hanging kebabs are recommended!

Hi yes one of the staff is called Maggie, and she's great - friendly, efficient, and not pushy. She's one of the lovely team who make the Jug such a fab pub
