Nipped in for a quick visit with the family on Thursday evening. Had two stone baked pizza, truffle fries and toast for our baby! The food was quick, fresh and of excellent taste and quality. The service staff were warm and welcoming. A very enjoyable experience and will definitely return!!!

Stayed in the village over Easter and visited twice. Cannot fault the staff and service - so friendly and welcoming. the food was outstanding and I can highly recommended the local steaks and the pizzas ! They went out of our way to accommodate our requests. There is a children's menu and daily specials. We would return to this village... More

After a last minute decision to eat out we tried the derwentwater having not been since the change in ownership last year. It was quiet in the restaurant when we arrived but not sure why as the food and service was excellent. I had the pie which was very tasty, my wife ordered from the specials board and my son... More

Large pub with enormous car park serving very good pub grub at very reasonable prices. We had the 2 for £10 and I could not fault the quality or quantity of the food. Good beer.

The promise of food on a long walk can spur everyone on even in the dire circumstance of rain... But, when the promised food place refuses you, well, suddenly everyone is disheartened. Luckily, a kind member of public suggested Derwentwater arms we trudged reluctantly up the road. Once there we were meeted with open arms. The barman suggested we move... More

Lovely food, friendly service, and they didn't mind our muddy boots! They also didn't mind us moving the tables around, as there were 9 of us. We were halfway around a walk and the staff were accommodating and friendly. We would definitely return.

We urge other customers to look beyond this review at the many happy comments we have had previously.
