I stayed here for a 2 night stay as I was attending a 2 day cookery course at River cottage. Could not have picked a better place to stay. Lovely owners and superb breakfast all produce form Spiller's farm. Lovely room with very comfy beds.

We had breakfast and it was amazing, such good choices and homemade jams. All the meat and eggs are from their farm.

The best farm shop I have ever visited. Family run, the staff are very friendly and helpful and remember you when you call back. They stock lots of produce from local enterprises, biscuits, cheeses and some of the best meat and fish imaginable, even locally made hats! But they also go to France regularly to stock up with wine, cheese... More

Found this place by accident while looking for somewhere to have afternoon tea. Tea, fresh baked scones and as much clotted cream and jam as you want. All for £5 bargain! Nice friendly staff and a great farm shop for all things pork!

Keith & Bridget are passionate about what they do, and it really shows in the home made/home grown food, and the fantastic friendly service. Very welcoming.

When visiting Devon what is the first thing that comes to mind for a foodie?? Devon Cream Tea of course and I have NEVER sound one as good as that provided by Bridget Trayling in Spillers Tea Room. Hot scones and home made jam...... total heaven. A must for any serious lover of afternoon tea!!!

Visited a couple of days ago whilst in search of somewhere to have a late lunch in the Axminster area. As it was a lovely day we sat in the beautiful gardens and were greeted by Merryck the dog and a cheeky hen, both of whom added to the charm of this wonderful place. Slightly disappointed to find out that... More

We left Seaton after spending the sfternoon there, and fancied a drink on the way home. I saw a sign for 'Tea Rooms 500 yards', and thought that will do nicely. Walked in to the grounds and met by the most gorgeous dog (Merryck), who brought his ball along with him. (Thats a nice welcome by any standard!) Ordered tea... More

Thank you so much for this lovely review and the special mention of the chocolate tiffin which is as much a pleasure to make as it is to eat! So pleased that you enjoyed Merryck's greeting. He is a very dedicated Meeter and Greeter :0) We hope to see you again soon at Spillers - next time do try the... More
