This is the second time we have stayed at the ship. The staff are excellent and made to feel at home. Good quality food.had a room at the front of the hotel which was excellent with large bed, mattress was a bit hard but passable. Nice bath for a long soak before evening meal and a good bottle of wine. Will... More

The lunch was excellent and nicely presented. All the staff were very polite and friendly, also excellent service as there were over forty of us.

Looking for a place for lunch. Came across the ship hotel. Staff were friendly. Able to take our dogs in with us, staff made a fuss of them. Had fish cakes off the special board, these were reasonably priced and were very nice. Wife had tomato tart which was very nice but expensive for what it was. Chips were to... More

Hotel staff very friendly and room very good. Throughly enjoyed breakfasts but evening meals large and expensive. The range limited and a bit fancy for us but good quality.

We were staying in Brancaster for a week and had such high hopes for The Ship as we planned to eat there at least twice during our stay. Firstly, they didn't have any record of our reservation. Secondly, the vegetables turned up for our main courses as we were finishing them. Thirdly, I didn't get a pudding as I was... More

We stopped by for lunch, and perhaps they just weren't in the mood for it, but the food was a bit of a disappointment given hat we had had a great lunch there some years previously. Undercooked chips and a raw burger. Not the best of experiences.

We've always really liked The Ship for it's ambience, friendly service, and takeaway fish and chips, which used to be available between 6 and 7, a pretty quiet hour in a restaurant's day. The Ship is always warm and cosy and is beautifully decorated, but the loss of the takeaway fish and chips is a bit saddening, it smacks a... More

Thought we would try Ship as reviews were decent. Wife proclaimed her meal as good and would eat there again. I thought mine was terrible and I will not be darkening their doorstep again. I has meat pie and mashed potatoes - now how hard is that to get wrong? The crust tasted as if it were made two days... More

This will have been our 3rd or 4th visit to The Ship in as many years. Food was good at both breakfast and dinner and the staff were excellent. Our room was clean and large with a very comfy bed and excellent furnishings. Bathroom was good too although the shower position was rather odd but no big deal. We moved... More
