Two years ago (October 2018) I was staying in the area working on a boat being built. I went here on a Sunday Afternoon (I was the only one there and dint realize how rare that is). I sat down by myself and ordered a...Red Curry. I asked for it to be very spicy. They asked if I was sure and took the order. The food was amazing, and yes very spicy. To the point I was sweating so much the three waitresses kept looking at me (not like the temperature outside didnt help). I finished a few refreshing beers that they kept cold for me and seeing that I was by myself one of the waitresses Kanjana took the time to talk between her tasks. It made the day perfect. I asked what they woudl recommend the next day and they told me the massaman. I came back asked for spicy and when I received it the food was great, but no spice. After the fact I asked Kanjana why it wasnt spicy and she stated that they say me yesterday look like I was in pain and wanted to make sure I enjoyed the food this time. This concern was seen throughout the three weeks I was onsite. The food was great, Kanjana as well as the rest of the team made me feel comfortable and let me stay and relax even when they shut the place down so I didnt feel rushed in the evening. I have been in Chon Buri, Thailand for 25 years. Never has anyone told me about the Lake House Food and Coffee outdoor cafe, on the Sukhumvit Road, between The Floating Market and Bang Saray. The cafe doesn't even appear in the promotional literature for...locals and tourists. But since my first visit months ago, it has become my favorite place to escape the chaos and throbbing tempo of the beer bars and massage parlors sung about in the music video, "One Night in Bangkok," by Murray Head. The cafe sits at water's edge, that is trapped by water plants and a lagoon filled with jumping fish, tropical plants and trees that attract squirrels, exotic water birds (cormorants, white egrets, herons, and others), and an occasional otter. A constant, light, warm breeze floats over the lagoon and through the restaurant, and the entire scene is too pleasing to beleive it isn't infested with the hordes of passersby, racing along just a kilometre away on the Sukhumvit Road. This highway runs from downtown Bangkok to the Navy base at Sattahip. I have found no other place like it on the Gulf of Thailand. Tranquil, tasty lite European and Thai meals, served with wines or tasty fruit drink creations served by modest, but hospitable, charming, Thai staff a brief 20 minutes south of Jomtien provide a rare and rewarding escape from Pattaya and environs.More

Good food, cold beer and pleasant staff. We ate here several times during a recent stay at Ocean Marina and I would use it again on my next visit.
