Def the No.1 place to eat for charm, location, service, don't go for the views, go for simple hearty food.

I probably should rate this higher, they do an excellent job at what it is - a pricey quaint Italian restaurant near the peak of Telluride Ski Resort. They have wine, cheese, paninis, and very little seating. They do have outdoor seating for spring skiing. You can warm your gloves and stuff by the fire. It is cozy. The staff... More

We shared a charcuterie appetizer between three people with a prosecco. MMMmmm. Yummy perfect skiing break after you've been playing in Revelation Bowl. Light enough to keep going. So wonderful dining al fresco. It was like being in another world. The service was superb.

Overall experience was good at the highest elevation restaurant in the United States. Grilled cheese and tomato soup was outstanding for lunch. Nice list of wines by the glass. Very pricey.

Great ride with a snow cat to get to the restaurant. Fabulous views and a very nice greeting with Proseco. The menu is fixed with 5 courses. I loved all of them, maybe not 100% the trout (main course), but all in all it was very good, with very nice wine pairing. The surprise comes when you get the bill:... More

This is a very small, very cozy restaurant high on the mountain and it is an unbelievable experience and not to be missed! The food is exceptional and the service also exceptional. Very romantic for couples or a group of four. We have been here many times for lunch. They also have a dinner where you are taken there by... More

Delicious food is like skiing in Italy. Wonderful experience eating at 12K feet in the clouds. We had a bluebird day allowing us to enjoy an amazing view + great quality food.

It's the whole experience. Begins with gondola ride and transfer to snowcat with warm & cozy seats to make the trek to 12,000 feet. Met at entrance with glass of bubbly - a great way to start any meal. The custom designed meal and wine pairings were delicious. Very pricey, but if looking for evening to remember this one fits... Originally a private retreat built on a historic mining claim, this new addition to Telluride’s award-winning restaurants is a quaint European hütte perched near the top of Gold Hill. With hand-hewn beams and furniture crafted from reclaimed wine barrels, Alpino Vino provides a high alpine ambience and is reminiscent of restaurants found throughout the Dolomites of Northern Italy. Inside, a warm and inviting atmosphere, complete with a wood burning fireplace, stone floors and exposed wood beams, provides a perfect retreat from the slopes.Situated at 11,966’, Alpino Vino offers fantastic views of the Wilson Range. The expansive multi-tiered deck is a truly unique spot to enjoy a glass of wine with its European teak furniture, coveted daybed and comfortable sheepskin throws. An outdoor wine bar offers a spectacular setting for a midday escape. To visit Alpino Vino during the ski season, take Gold Hill Express (Lift 14) and turn left off the lift to ski down See Forever to our front door.Come enjoy the unique experience that is Alpino Vino!
