This has to be the worst Indian takeaway I ever had. The Korma was white with just a coconut flavour with a slight semolina texture, watery with no Indian flavour. The lamb Dansak was flavourless too. The Onion Bhajee was the only saviour. The sad...salad it was served with was just too sad to eat. Most of this dish went into the bin. It's safe to say I won't be eating from here again.More

We were introduced to Bombay by some friends. They are regular patrons for many years and in fairness their recommendation was well warranted. After 2 trips here we are suitably impressed. The owner seems to be always on hand to offer a warm friendly welcome....Staff are all very nice. Our food has been great and Tuesdays the menu is mostly half price. All in all this is a great place to eatMore

Was travelling through Carlow and stopped off to have a bite to eat. As always, a challenge with a gluten-free diet. Stumbled across this gem. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The menu was very well outlined. Majority of dishes were gluten free. Food was...delish. Well worth a visit.More

We ordered the prawn in batter and garlic mushrooms for starters. They were so deep fried the mushrooms were actually wet with grease and there was very little taste from the prawns. For main we ordered the curry which was nice and beef korma which...was extremely sweet - too sweet that it was almost sickly. I couldn't finish it. We got egg fried rice on the side which was an additional €4.95 which I thought was ridiculous as each main course was €15.95. I had two glasses of white wine which I enjoyed and was reasonable at €5 a glass. We were staying in Carlow for the night but were really disappointed as we love Indian food and felt it was not worth the €60 we paid. The setting of the restaurant nice but the service is very average. Not even a jug of water put on the table we had to ask for it.More

My friends and I booked a table for 7pm for my Big Birthday Bash! A big thumbs up to the proprietor of Bombay Diner as he was very helpful with our balloons, birthday cake etc. It's "bring your own bottle" with free uncorking which suits...us as we all have different tastes. Menu was extensive, prices very reasonable too. I loved the toned down lighting which creates an intimate atmosphere. Will definitely return very soon.More

Service is not bad but only one staff accommodating the dining area. I am in shock to find out that rice is separate to pay with your main meals. We are unsure about the variety of foods they offer so we stick to the usual...foods that my family will likely to enjoy. Very disappointed with Tikka Masala and Korma both dish is so sweet and the flavour is so awful! Six pieces of chicken in a medium dish and the sauce is over flowing! My eight years old daughter even make a comparison that Tesco's curry is way better taste than their foods. We picked the place as its been advertised very well but its very disappointing. Their prices is much costly than others.More

Arrived at the Sunday buffet around 2pm, we weren’t greeted and as it was our first time in the restaurant we were unsure weather to seat ourself or wait, we had to get the attention of the waiter to ask as there were no staff...members to be seen, when seated the waiter didnt ask if we wanted any drinks , we were not presented with a menu or told about the buffet options or a la Carte, the food was not labeled and we had to ask what each dish was, the food was only luke warm and when asking for a dessert menu they did not have one , when paying he just took my card to the desk and tapped it without me present or my permission. The food was tasty but the service was very poor. We will not be backMore

Where do I start? I had a barely warm Samosa, cold from the fridge or freezer. This did not bode well. Service was poor. Very poor. The waiter was not communicative or friendly at all. The main courses were only so so. I really regret...having had to hand over so much money for such an awful experience. I won’t be back.More
