Came here recently as stopping in the area. The Inn is very nice and modern and situated in a picturesque valley. The food was very nice, perhaps a limited menu, but good quality certainly. Decent selection of real ales and the staff very great. Also allow dogs in which was a bonus for us. Not a regular to the area,... More

I took my two sons here for Sunday lunch. We were served by Megan who was really helpful and attentive. One of the boys had pork with crackling and it was very tasty. Me and the other son had beef and it was lovely. Good Yorkshire puds, crispy roast potatoes and cauliflower cheese. It was lovely. Came here on a... More

Came across the inn by chance and so glad we did. The bar staff were so friendly and welcoming. We decided to eat there so stayed until the kitchen opened. The sharing boards were delicious followed up with our mains which were all excellent. Would definitely recommend. Very reasonably priced as well at £20 a head

The guys needed to get some lunch while the gals were off at "tea" at the Jane Austen Centre in town. So we Ubered on over to the next village and stopped in here. One of us had a burger, the other a 1/2 chicken and the third a pork chop. All were tasty and reasonably priced. Good service; wonderful... More

Arrived with an old friend bang on 12 so had a choice of bar tables but it filled up pretty soon after - always a good sign on a weekday that this place is highly -rated. We had the vegetarian sharing platter and sweet potato chips and it was so fresh and well-presented, with excellent service from the two young... More

Visited with the family for dinner. We booked the restaurant which was perfect although you can eat in the bar without booking. Great choice of food for everyone and wide range of drinks too from various brands of gin to good selection of wine or beer etc. Very friendly staff, fully deserved the tip left. We will be back for... More

This was the first time we have visited for some time. We were looking forward to a nice roast after a long muddy walk from Bradford on Avon. A lovely warm welcome from all the staff. We both ordered a mixed roast of lamb and pork. The vegetables, Yorkshire puddings and gravy were excellent. The meats however were not great at... More

Returned to find it had been revamped. A fresh take on contemporary meets traditional at the Inn at Freshford. The new owners and team have done a fantastic job (as you'd expect as they also own the Crown at keystone and soon to be opened (1st March 2017) the Cross Guns at Avoncliffe. They really know what they're doing. Always... More
