Unassuming but good. We went for dinner and in fairness first impressions are less than good. Anyway starter was excellent with tomato and burrata. The Pizzas were OK but nothing special. Waiter was very nice and prices were lower than in German Switzerland. Would I...go back ? NOMore
Good food good beer and nice personnel , only remark is about delivery , too long to get your food almost one hr waiting. If you fix that you will gain lot of clients but if you don’t people will probably chose another place
Well... how to be charitable with this pseudo restaurant? It is difficult... they started by loosing our reservation (made in person the day before); among the 10 or so table outside, only 2 have any sunshade; their menu for lunch only offers a few pasta...dishes and pizzas (no meat, no salad....); the waiter was nice but the service totally erratic; dessert was definitely bad; coffee was a shame for any place called Italian... so?... at least their pasta was eatable if not memorable, but it's true that spaghetti with oil and garlic is difficult to spoil....More
Booked online where we were told we have the table for 1h30 - after 55 min our basic order of margherita pizza still not arrived. Some excuse for a broken down system but in general the service is pathetic and cannot be recommended at all.if...you are planning any event apart from a miserable one look for an alternative insteadMore
We bookend a table online for dinner at New Year’s Eve. Afterwards we had received 3 calls from different services staff and each time they mentioned wrong time and we corrected the reservation time and date in English or German( one guy spoke German) and...they confirmed that our reservation at New Year’s Eve. We visited there on time on 31.Dec then the person who was there said “ it’s closed for private party!” And the most poor thing is that he didn’t listen to us at all and all he repeatedly said was “ if you don’t speak French, I don’t understand “ in fluent English !!!!!! What a terrible excuse and unacceptably unprofessional operation they have. He even didn’t give any help to suggest other restaurants or so. Great experience that no other restaurants around had a table at that night. Totally disappointed. Must avoid if you don’t speak French.More
This place is truly a real Italian Restaurant. The waitress was Italian and and the food as well. It seemed like a place where locals, guests and Italian hang out and enjoy their "vino" in the evening. The waiter could speak great English, was super...kind (explaining the french / Italian menu) and it was a great service. God job Phillipo! The food was very delicious and great portions. To sit outside was wonderful. It almost felt like Italy. The place is right by the castle in a nice area. If I would live in Yverdon I would go regularly.More

A pleasant surprise to find an authentic Italian restaurant upstairs above a bar / bistro below. The cuisine is authentic Italian with a couple of good tasting plates to share and we all had pasta as the main course which was well prepared , not...swimming in sauce a and decent sized portions. A definite find and we will certainly return in the future. The restaurant is quite small so you should book in advance if possible. The wine list is limited but there are some good bottles of Italian wines available at fair prices. Le Bar du Coq offers good value for money and is obviously a success and the staff are happy to speak with their customers and explain some of the dishes if required. A positive experience and an enjoyable evening in short.More

I made a reservation here to celebrate my wedding anniversary with my husband. I had seen wonderful reviews but had my doubts. I grew up by the sea side and therefore, I'm very upset when seafood isn't prepared properly. This restaurant knows how to cook...both seafood and meat. Everything was delicious and it wasn't overpriced. Moreover, the quantity was perfect. We ended up full and satisfied. Great place, awesome service and wonderful food. We'll go back soon, that's for sure!More

Very nice place for lunch where there are always three different choices on the menu. Here you will find original pasta and sauce that you've probably never tasted before. The girls are always happy to tell more about the food. When it's sunny, it's better...to call and book your table as the restaurant and the terrace are not very big and quickly full.More
We choose the restaurant after looking up the reviews on trip advisor and weren't disappointed. We ate in the restaurant upstairs and were lucky to get the last table as we didn't book. Had the home made pasta for lunch during the week, it was...well cooked, very tasty and a generous serve at a very reasonable price under 20chf. Le Bar Du Coq has outside seating, downstairs bar, and upstairs restaurant. My brother and I have lunch there about once a week. We almost always order from the daily special menu which has three or four items. The specials come with bread and a...small salad. Le Bar Du Coq features great Italian food. We have never been disappointed. The wine by the glass menu offers nice wines at a decent price. The owner and staff are very friendly. That's why Le Bar Du Coq Sarl has become our regular meeting place.More
