I have to say that on a recent to Le Chaudron the only thing which was impressive was the toilets with its clear glass window, as a gentleman I had eye contact with outsiders at the urinal. The negatives, in the self-service part were plastic plates and bowls, really poor quality ingredients and coffee free coffee. I cannot stress how... More

Was here already two times, with friends. Can't decide which experience was worse. The staff is really rude. The first time 8 of us ordered food and drinks while the 9th wanted to just have his sandwich, but they made him leave saying "it is not a picnic place". Makes a lot of (business) sense, right? The second time when asking... More

The soup was probably the worst I have ever tasted, basically flavoured clear water with a couple of finely grated bits of vegetable. A total rip off at €6. Don't visit this place!

I have reviewed many places on trip advisor and I am always fair to establishment, knowing that we all have off days. I went here two days running whilst skiing at Les Crosets and on both occasions I was disappointed beyond imagining. Of course you don't expect he best culinary experience or best trained staff on a mountain, but this... More

An ideal stop-off for lunch, particularly when the sun shines and you can sit on the terrace. Basic mountain food very well cooked with good friendly service.

We went there with some friends in order to eat in the self service area. As it was crowded and as the prices were not much different from the one in the restaurant on top of it, we decided to go there. This was the right choice as the food was much better than downstairs (some friends ate downstairs the... More

Stopped here a couple of times in the week when skiing through and no complaints. They have their own version of van Chou, which is Apple and brandy based, very nice. Also they have a great home made pear schnapps. Food is good, huge servings, and friendly staff, perfect for a lunch stop.

I've stopped off here a couple of times and found it reasonable in food and value for money. Only for lunch as it's on the slopes. No complaints!
