We walked in from the street late in the evening and the place was full but the owner quickly found us a table. Food was very good. We had duck with red cabbage and bohemian dumplings and pork medallions. Both very tasty! Sweet povidlo dumpling at the end were delicious, too. Service quick and friendly. And the place looks great.... More

I had heard only good things about this restaurant and was not disappointed. The balcony seating had a beautiful view and the service was excellent. When the food arrived, it appeared to be pretty small portions, but the food was fantastic and filling.

I have been lucky to travel on all the contents. This meal was certainly one I will remember. Cabbage and sausage soup, Beef and Dumping in a mushroom sauce. The flavour came through. Good cooking with good ingredients accompanied one of the best house Red Wine I have drunk. Very Fair Price too.

It is advisable to pre-book as Zum Schwejk is a busy wee restaurant. The food is proper home cooked Czech cuisine. We especially enjoyed the dumplings. Service and staff is very good, a real homely atmosphere and worth a visit.

Thanks to one of my friend who brought me here for dinner. The foods is awesome and delicious. Wine is also good too. Not a big selection of choices on the menu but is good enough. Good place for couple to have a nice romantic dinner. Definitely recommend this place.

Found this restaurant via Tripadvisor. Bohemian / Czech food. Walls decorated with drawings from the book about the solder Schwejk. While most of the menu consists of rather "heavy" and fatty food, there are also some lighter varieties and salads. Good quality, nicely presented. While most food go well with (Czech) beer, there was also Czech and other wines available.... More

Nice Bohemian restaurant located near the old town hall (in the Marktpassage). We had dinner in the cosy outside seating area. The menu is not overly-long, which we liked. We ordered potato cream soup as starter and rump steak and lamb as mains which were served with nice trimmings. The steak was medium although I ordered medium rare. Other than... More

The best kept secret in Celle. This little gem stuck away in a quart yard is quaint, romantic and has stunning Bohemian food. Family owned it has a small menu but mind blowing food. Decor is very interesting and gives you something to talk about while you wait for your meal. Not cheap, but then you pay for what you... More

Small but fine, service is a little slow, but the food is comforting. A take on Czech food with a hint of German kitchen.

Looking for good food and very open minded and friendly personnal, you have found the place to go. Excellent food and drinks for all of us. We have been a group of 7. All of us enjoyed the evening. Besides the food the location itself is a nice place to go. On the walls you´ll find signatures from VIPs of... More
