This is much more a Coffee and Cake place than a place to eat a meal. While there breakfast menu looked varied, and their drink menu had lots of alcoholic and non-alcoholic, plus hot drinks and cold ones, the lunch menu is very limited. If you don't like meat, this isn't really the place, tho they do have some sandwiches,... More

It was a cold, crisp day when we slipped in for afternoon tea and cake. What a fortunate choice. Service was friendly, tea was perfect and cakes were delectable. Bavarian hospitality and reasonably priced, too!

Our local guide recommended this cafe because she said the cakes were all made in-house, compared to other cafes where they bring them in from larger bakeries. Enjoyed our cake and coffee!

We stopped here for lunch. Our soup was not good. The service was extremely slow and the apple strudel was tough and dry and tasteless. My raspberry chocolate cake was delightful. The whole lunch ended up being time consuming , not overly good and a waste of time and money.

Nice location on the main. picturesque shopping street of amberg. Old world-charm and also have many outdoor tables. One of the few eating places open on Sundays! The selection and quality of their cakes is excellent....

We love the cafe-scene, where you savor the atmosphere and leisure as much as the coffee and cake. Graupner is best for the cakes and coffee, which are outstanding. You choose at the counter and give a chit to the waiter in the always-crowded dining area. He or she brings it eventually, with little or no courtesy or personal attention.... More

This was a great afternoon tea stop. The pastries are out of this world, both beautiful and delicious. The hot cocoa was the real thing. The service was friendly and quick but didn't hurry us as we wanted to linger in the chandelier filled cafe with so many friend and family groups enjoying the holiday (All Saints day)

The Graupner is a small hotel with a cafe and a bakery on the ground floor. It is located on the main street neer the Grünmarkt, across the river from the "old town". The bakery has some amazing confections. You order what you want and then cross the hall into the cafe where the waitress will take your cake coupon... More
