Decor and atmosphere themed to the 1940s. Great cream teas and nice stop in Herne Bay for refreshments. The menu selection has a good array of breaks fast and lunchtime choices. Would recommend to those passing by.

Stylish and elegant without being stuffy. Additional touches which show the standard. The amuse bouche was a beautifully smoked duck salad. The pastry in haddock tart starter and the honey and walnut dessert was wonderfully flaky and really complimented the dishes. The rack of lamb...More

Always a great pleasure to eat at Kathton House. They know exactly what they are doing, and both the food and the attentive and sympathetic, but not obtrusive service are top-notch.

The occasion was a belated wedding anniversary dinner hosted by my wife's parents. This is their favourite restaurant. Now mine because it is such a love discreetly positioned restaurant in amongst a suburban street. The food was delicious. I had goats cheese on caramelised onions...More

Fine dining is a term very loosely applied at times so it was interesting to read such an abundance of praise for this restaurant on trip advisor. We had a significant anniversary to celebrate, so here seemed the ideal place to have a celebratory lunch....More

Went for a lunch time birthday treat and it was a treat. Lovely staff and wonderful cuisine. Parking is a complete pain and unless you want to run the gauntlet with the local parking wardens you need to park the other side of the crossroads...More

The decor is comfortable and staff helpful but waiting for your food takes ages. When it comes it's well worth waiting for. Always full and hard to get a table. Prices are dearer than some nice restaurants in Canterbury High Street.

Not sure but I don't think it's the sort of place to take dogs.

I believe so. There's 2 ways of getting in and all one level including the toilet so can't see why not.

We ate at the restaurant yesterday evening (8 September) and wore smart casual clothes. The rest of the diners were similarly dressed.
