After an underwelming experience in Rome at a Michelin Starred restaurant, Le Manoir du Lys restored my faith in what an experience should be like. The setting is wonderful and being out of town, gives you that relaxed feeling before you start. The service is...More

Service was attentive and highly efficient but somewhat imprrsonal. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and arranged but lacks ambiance. The food was excellent although I had to ask for another knife as I could not cut my lamb. My husband was delighted to have Happy...More

In general meals here are excellent though there is a certain lack of personality in the decor and the restaurant. Bright chartreuse walls are not particularly conducive to a relaxed mood. Duck was memorable, the chocolate dessert equally so and in general I greatly enjoyed...More

Generally good with a few minor flaws. Bar area is pleasant and the dining room spacious and organic. The lunch package with wine is good value at €57, though the crispbreads seemed to spoil what was an excellent fish starter. Mains were a generous size,...More

The Michelin star restaurant can proudly claim a high level of service, as you would expect at this level. After trying the menu composed for the season, I would say some elements on the plates served were excellent other ideas did not quite work. The...More

Easily deserving of its Michelin star: food is innovative; service excellent, and the ambience is bright but cozy. Situated inside the countryside lodgings of the same name, this restaurant is a great reason to prolong a stay in this country retreat inside the national forest.

not as good as four years ago. Average service and the food very expensive for what they served (basic meat, not expensive); Although they knew it was a 25 year anniversary dinner, they didn't acknowledge it.

Description
"This superb Michelin-starred restaurant is located in a former hunting lodge nestled on the edge of the Andaine forest. Le Manoir du Lys is a stylish, family-run hotel providing guests with an idyllic escape from city living, and Head Chef Franck Quinton is renowned for his acclaimed French menu. The dining room at Le Manoir du Lys – with its exposed stone walls and contemporary colour scheme, is always filled with foodies flocking from far and wide to taste Quinton's innovative cuisine. Combining regional flavours and forest produce with gastronomic flair, Quinton has forged a stellar reputation with dishes such as white asparagus served with wild mushrooms, morels and a Marans egg, and foie gras served with truffle soup.
