We had been here before but not under the new ownership and had heard mixed reviews. The welcome was friendly and the service was very good starting with the bar man who created a non-alcoholic cocktail on request and the Enville Ale was a very well kept pint. All of the food was well cooked and very tasty especially my... More

We'd been shopping and we're looking for a nice country pub for lunch. The AA pubs app directed us here. Sat in the bar and enjoyed a nice lunch and great summer ale. During our visit the restaurant became very busy (this was Saturday lunchtime). Pleasant staff. Really enjoyed the food.

Have been coming to b and c for several years and knowing it had been took over we wanted to check the new owners out. My wife's cod and chips was thick batter which you can get better from a local. chippy. Mushy peas dried unedible. I had a burger which was poor bun and fairly tasteless. Not cheap .service... More

I'm still reeling from the price we paid for our meal here yesterday. The food was well presented and tasty but portions, in my opinion, were very small. As stated in another review, extra vegetables are charged for - but are needed to supplement the meagre portions served with the meal. With so many good places to eat in the... More

We were taken here by friends we were staying with, who live locally. I have to say, looking at the reviews, it's not what it used to be. We went a couple of years ago and loved it, but I read it had changed hands and now it's not great. The portions were all rather small, which is fine if... More

This was my first visit to this quaint and relatively small establishment. It has a smallish bar room and then a number of restaurant rooms (as well as a beer garden when the weather is better). They have a selection of regular ales, and also a guest ale pump, which had a fantastic Timothy Taylor's I hadn't tried before. We... More

I have visited the Bell & Cross a few times and it's always a good meal. The menu is varied and something for all tastes. The beers are good and they serve Tim Taylor's Landlord which can't be bad! This place can get busy so you're best to book. I would say that the food and drink prices are a... More

Very quaint pub, with several cosy rooms, which made this a very relaxed atmosphere to meet up with a couple of friends. Very friendly service and a nice couple of HPA's ales to wash down a very enjoyable meal. We'll definitely recommend.

We are not sure that the new owners have a handle on this yet, or maybe it is that they are actively seeking change. Having loved this pub over many years as a relaxed country pub, offering superb restaurant quality food, our recent visit left us very disappointed for a whole host of reasons. Rather loud music greeted us, which... More

Popped in early Sunday evening for a wee beverage , after a lovely walk around Clent hills ... We were expecting to be to early for food but were pleasantly surprised to find food was being served... Staff were so friendly and helpful , the food arrived after no wait at all and was really delicious, my lamb was tender... More
