Weird ceiling is the best thing about this place. The whole ceiling is grass-like with trees, rivers etc - like something from Teletubbies or Lord of the Rings. I guess we made the wrong choice for grub (Steak Frites) which was OK, but if you're in a ski resort I guess you don't go for haut cuisine. Other dishes looked... More

Enjoyed the restaurant and the food was general of a good standard but €44 for a cheese fondue for 2! Crazy price and wasn't very tasty, just served with a few potatoes and cold meat...this must be one of the cheapest plates to offer...I guess the tourists just call for it every time as we did!

It's called the fromagerie for a reason - about 80%? of the menu is cheese. But fine. Like a good theatre, the show starts the moment you get inside (actually the moment you look through the window), with a fantastic upside down 3D seascape on the ceiling. Then the staff put on a bit of a show, while at the... More

We dropped in, a family of five and got a table within a few minutes in this busy restaurant. Probably better to reserve if possible. The menu can please everyone and in our case the age from 6 to 40 plus. The pizzas and pastas are good quality and the children loved them. The parents had a very good steak... More

We went for a meal here on a busy Saturday night in august (having booked the day before). The meal was amazing, we had cheese fondue followed by chocolate fondue which the kids loved! We were pretty proud of ourselves eating a lovely cheese fondue only to be upstaged by what can only be described as a flaming meat skewer... More

This appears to be below La Poste Hotel - and we stopped for a lunch when we were starving. Service was friendly and charming. We ordered Chardon Ardent, for two and it came with some flamboyance (€42), and a really tasty potato and wild mushroom accompanying dish. Entrecote (€19) was a good lump of steak, and came very rare, as... More

A great selection of items on the dinner menu, something for everyone. Children as well. Food was solid, well presented and super tasty. Wine was great and the service was excellent and very personalized... Asking for recommendations on a digestif from the region to end the meal was spot on. Salads, which can be overdressed in France, were perfectly dressed...... More

You have to book this restaurant at least one day ahead during peak times, always a good sign. Unfortunately we ordered standard fare of steaks and pizzas which were ok. We were very jealous when we saw some of the things our fellow diners were enjoying; flaming brochettes of meat, fondues and tartiflette - perhaps more alpine than pyrenean, but... More
