Reservations are good on Sunday's. We sat inside. The menu was good. We enjoyed our meal. I would go again.

A small restaurant where the chef, owner was also the server. The food was carefully prepared. My steak was fine. My wife and sister-in-law's lamb didn't have much meat on it. I really enjoyed my soup and the cheese. The owner is taciturn but professional.

Returning to this lovely lunch stop after a two year absence, we were disopointed to say the least with the new owners.

Or that's how it felt. 30 minutes wait for the soup which was lack lustre, and just warm. We then waited 20 minutes for an OK salad of gesiers. Oh, we had to ask for bread and water. The waiter, I think, was also possibly a chef. Certainly he was dressed like one. Poor lad, I think he must have... More

The rave reviews of this place have me baffled. The food was terrible, the service pretty much nonexistent and the over-all atmosphere was one of complaining customers. Previous good reviews were for the previous owner/chef who has now moved to Jeu de Quilles in Cajarc. Go there instead.

Myself and my friend were 2 weeks into our walking holiday in France when we found ourselves looking for a restaurant in Limoges and found this little gem. We took the set menu of 15.50€ each which had 3 course with plenty of choice. Without doubt the food was the best we had tasted since our arrival in France. Service... More

We visited this restaurant before reading reviews - a BIG mistake. The main course was pork with chips and mashed potatoes!?? No vegetables - just lumpy mash. People were complaining about poor service as well - don't bother.

Reading the reviews from previous years, I presume that the place changed owner and, unfortunately, went totally downhill. While still frequented by tourists, the food and service is nowhere close to where it used to be. At our table of 7 the two steaks were served raw and cold, while the fish seemed to have visited the local crematory. The... More

I tried to book a table here on a Friday morning for that evening and the lady had an slightly amused look on her face when she told me they were full. The reason is that there are not many places within 20 miles of here that serve quite such good food and they don't have that many tables. The... More
