Limited menu that changes daily. We lunched twice and both times everything was delicious, from the the home-made pasta to the variety of sweets, and the service was excellent. Good value. A must.

Amazing experience from Tuscan cuisine. Grannie´s receipes, generations tested. Affordable prices. Four meals only, Friday fish. Eat and enjoy (guaranteed) or go else and regret! Volterra without Carabaccia experience? Half enjoyment!

Were able to sit outdoors on a Sunday without a booking (otherwise seems very advisable to book). Menu changes daily. We had caprese starter, tagliatelle with pumpkin, and roast lamb with spinach. All fairly simple and very delicious. Very kind service. Plan for at least an hour and a half, not the kind of place to eat if you are... More

We had a wonderful lunch here last week in Volterra. It's an easy walk from the Roman Theatre to the restaurant, which is in a charming part of town and close to the Etruscan Museum (not to be missed). We ordered their two lunch specials, the higlight was the pici, and a very nice buffalo mozzarella salad and prosciutto with... More

By far the best meal we had during our 8 night stay in Italy! They offer only 4 entrees a night and so the quality and taste is simply amazing. Everything was fresh farm to table. The restaurant itself is charming-decorated so that it seems you are eating in their home. A wonderful recommendation from our hosts at the hotel!... More

This restaurant is amazing! The food is created by two sisters who cook in the Tuscan style taught to them by their grandmother. The menu changes daily based on what's fresh and in season. There are two choices for an appetizer, two choices for a first course and two choices for a second course. It was very good! Everything we... More

The menu is really limited, which does not really has to be a problem. For starters we ordered the melon with prosciutto, and the tomato mozzarella, both were delicious, of course simple dishes, but really tasteful. The second courses of veal stew and pasta with duck ragout were a real letdown. The veal stew was really dry and the pasta... More

My friends from Volterra suggested we eat here. The menu changes daily and is small, offering just a few choices for each course. Friday is definitely fish day. We had lunch on Saturday & service was rather slow, but the meal was really very good with lovely Tuscan sauces & a pleasant house wine. The wild boar pasta sauce was... More

We were told the best restaurants in Italy would have small menus, because the chefs would decide what to make that day based on what was fresh and available (a 7-page printed menu in four languages probably isn't going to be super authentic...). La Carabaccia certainly fit this bill! Run by three sisters, there wasn't even a menu at all... More

Is a nice restaurant well located that only offers a small menu. Something like 4 and 4 options for first and second. Well priced and great taste of traditional tuscan plates. Two first, two seconds and one dolce for 55e All what we eat was really really good

Description
La Carabaccia, born from this love of age old flavours found in the Tuscan cusine, the passion for traditional tastes has been passed down to us from our grandmother, which we today, Sara and Patrizia, have the pleasure of sharing with you. The cusine of La Carabaccia offers a daily selection of authentic dishes, enabling you to saver the taste of time past, in a cosy and family setting. Everything is locally produced, in season and selected with genuine care and dedication to serve only the best. If you would prefer to select something other than the dish of the day, you can find a deliciously tasty alternative in our gastronomy (cold cuts, cheese, bruschetta, crostini...).
