For me it was great lunch in this restaurant. As for the menu I must say captivating in its simplicity you can choose land or sea with some grafting of innovative dishes that allow you to be oriented on what you like and what you can eat (I still with my surgery can not chew again ... )

At the suggestion of a kind operator from the tourist information office we booked a table for 5 people and we did well as the place is very popular. We tried different dishes, but the venison carpaccio surprised us very positively. Encore the gnocchi with dried tomatoes, the bigoli are good. Excellent quality-price relation. Friendly staff, but a little awkward. The only note to be made is the excessive wait between the appetizer and the first courses, perhaps due to the large number of customers.

The waiters are trained and helpful, but in our opinion the dishes are too "mini". The attempt to show off haute cuisine is unrealistic, which very often boils down to serving micro-courses whose flavor does not match expectations. Decent wine cellar, not the best in our opinion. A good place for those who eat little and especially for those who don't have time problems. We waited more than an hour for simple dishes. A dinner that lasted for almost 3 hours. Absolutely worth the money. Probably more expensive than you’ll find compared to many others in Sulmona but our meal with excellent. Still, for an excellent bottle of Montepulciano at just over €20 and an extensive wine list, you could do a lot worse. All of this in traditional settings that are about as Italian as you can fathom.
We had raw salmon and deer to start, rabbit and pork as main courses. All beautifully put together and excellent tasting. The glaze/reduction that accompanied the pork was beautiful. Tiramisu probably the best I’ve ever had. Attentive enough service and staff that made their best efforts to translate (we were just going to guess based on our limited Italian).
Can’t really fault the place and would definitely come back as a treat!

We tasted bites at an oven and they recommended this place for lunch; the seats available were finished, however they gave us the opportunity to sit in the outdoor space, as the day was sunny. Cellar with very beautiful and tastefully furnished kitchen, where it is also possible to have an aperitif with a cutting board and a good glass of wine. We came in when they opened at 730pm on a Sunday night, late March. No reservation is needed. (The night before, Saturday, we couldn't get in before 900pm). Our server was delightful; we learned some Italian with her little bit of English teaching us. There is no English on the menu. We tried a gnocchi dish with sausage and saffron that was incredible. And 6 good pork medallions in a montepulciano reduction. Wine by the glass was very good and inexpensive. Nice decor and music. We had a lot of fun and ate very well.

A place where you can't miss going, a quaint and welcoming place, and you can only compliment the food, everything is good, from the starters to the dessert! Huge choice of local and not very good wines! Very honest price for what you eat, right quality/quantity ratio. We promised ourselves that every time we return we will stop by Cantine Biffi to eat characteristic and unforgettable dishes (like the truffle tagliatelle)!!! Go there and you won't regret it! If I could I would give it a 10 because they all deserve it!
