Angelo and his family does a great job in keeping the Südtirol traditions in this family restaurant. The menu includes fantastic local produce of cold cuts and cheeses, excellent pasta dishes, polenta and a range of other dishes including the Schnitzel of course. Wine list is very good too, including a good selection from both Trentino and other Italian districts.... More

We've come here to ski every year for the past seven years because it's simply perfect! The Refuge lies on SP81 in the pass between Paneveggio and Falcada. It's about 3 1/2 hours south of Garmisch, Germany and about 2 1/2 hours north of Vicenza, Italy. In snowy years, you can ski down to the Refuge (the hotel/restaurant) from the... More

We were there for a lunch. Wonderful view all around! In front there is a lovely wooden church and a big parking area, ideal for bikeRs, cars, campers, etc. We stayed outside bcz the Sun was warm. Speedy and precise service. The food was amazing! There are a lot of options: everything is fresh and 0 km. For the lovers...... More

My friend Cristina knows the family that owns this Malga. She stayed here for a week a few years back and always comes here for their homemade grappa. Well worth the trip if that's the only thing you buy but I highly reccommend the torte! The family has ran this place for over 3 generations and they do everything from... More

We stayed here for one night while hiking the AV2 in the Dolomiti. The room was good and the huge dinner delicious. The family who owns and runs the rifugio were very friendly and pleasant. The breakfast was great as well with a choice of eggs ( unusual in this part of italy). The San Bernard dog was huge, fluffy... More

The food here blew our minds, I couldn't stop talking about the sauerkraut(!!?), or the gnocchi, or the polenta venison. I could go on, but really, just go. I can't recommend this place enough.

Excellent food in a beautiful environment. At lunch time on sunny days it is often very busy, so dont go there if you're expecting ' fast food'. Take your time, enjoy the athmosphere and views, and say 'Hi!' to Bari, the gigantic St. Bernard who is in charge of things... :-)

Exceptional mountain hut in the dolomites. Reachable by car. Great hikes around. Typical food from the eastern Italian Alps (maybe a little too much butter). Family-run business with super-friendly staff. Only drawback is a not exceptional quality of wifi access.
