Big let down for the raclette and fondue lovers that we are. The whole experience felt cheap, starting with the restaurant look and feel, dampened by a terrible smell that stuck to our clothes for days afterwards. The Tefal Jour de Fête raclette / pierrade...machines added to the overall tackiness… and then the fondue savoyarde which tasted like ready-made béchamel. What a shame. We had high hopes but were left extremely disappointed. The only upside: the kind and polite staff. I would avoid and research an alternative if I were you!More

Dear customer, thankyou for your review. I think that's difficult to find another place proposing such things as ours, for our Restaurant is unique in the village. The choice of tecnical devices is due to the fact that we letterally created several proposals of Raclettes...More

We ate here twice on our ski holiday in half term, on the first occasion there were 7 of us, and the experience was so great we booked for our last night as our full group of 28. All the staff were fantastic, food was...great. If you’re looking for dine and dash this isn’t for you, it’s a real experience cooking your food on Raclettes or Fondues. We had children aging from 5 - 11 absolutely loved it. An absolute must in Sauze.More

We always book this restaurant for the last night of our holiday! It is just wonderful. Great food, great atmosphere, the staff are lovely...Olga and Corinne thank you so much for your hospitality. I, unfortunately, had an accident on our final day and they went...out of their way to help me, including the owners husband delivering us back to our hotel. Couldn't not recommend highly enough .....cannot wait to return.More

We visited this restaurant during a recent skiing trip, although the food was very tasty, the service we felt was lacking. It almost felt like we should be grateful to have been given a table in their restaurant as opposed to them being appreciative that...we had chosen to eat there.More

This is a restaurant for lovers of Pierre Chaud and Raclette. Really well done in cosy intimate 'basement'. Excellent service, with a special shout out to Daniel who made the evening great fun

Our group of ten friends took it in turns to book different restaurants during our skiing/snowboarding holiday in Sauze. I was the only vegan in the group so was often limited to pasta with tomato sauce. While in Italy, this is usually still good, I...was relieved to find this great restaurant offering an equivalent vegan option to the meat eaters'. While they were all grilling their meat and veg and melting their raclette cheese at the table, I was dipping my saitan, herbed tofu and veg in hot oil accompanied by roast potatoes, salad and the most stunning range of homemade sauces I've ever had. Service, deserts and wine we're just as good. You do need to book the vegan options 24 hours in advance but you won't be disappointed.More

We ordered the raclette and a bottle of wine. The food arrived before the raclette cooker was hot enough so the potatoes went cold. We had to ask a couple of times for our wine. Service was haphazard - it looked like they could have...been short staffed but there was no coordination between servers, it felt quite stressed. One server was wearing one of the small see through, might as well not be there masks and was coughing. I now have that cough so not impressed. The meal came to 70 euros and change. More expensive than the majority of meals we had out and not worth the extra in my opinion. Would not go again.More

Suitably Alpine decor and a great place for fondu. We were actually advised to order less than we did, as the waiter thought it would be too much, which was considerate. Had a very good meat fondue as well as a cheese one. Very good...selection of local wines too. Excellent service and a great place for a fun family meal.More

We booked this restaurant because we were craving some French food and this restaurant did not disappoint. We chose the raclette which came with plenty of cheese and sides to fill 2 people. We found the prices were reasonable as we were both very full...at the end of the meal. The price of the raclette was charged per person however this was clear on the menu and we found the amount of food reflected the price. Great restaurant and a MUST if you’re is sauze doulx. Great wine too!! And the service was great- friendly staff.More

Felt happy as we were found a table even though we hadn’t booked. However, firstly, staff so rushed no time to hear drink order- asked for wine got Prosecco, asked for beer got red wine. (The red wine was happily changed) Ordered bagna cauda …€25...each…! I’m no expert but had this dish twice before one even made by a ‘Piedmontese mamma’ and this restaurant one looked liked a spilt oily sludge. Not a creamy anchovy dip. Too salty to even eat! Told waiter it wasn’t nice and told this I’d how it is made here, try to eat more! Had to leave most of it. Would not recommend here.More

Looks great from the outside a very tempting menu with Savoyard fondue and raclette speciality’s lots of items are for order for 2 persons only priced per item …..BEWARE…..once you get inside this restaurant LOOK at the menu carefully not only does the menu suddenly...state that the price you assume to be per item is in fact PER PERSON there is also a 2 euro per person COVER CHARGE. So a Fondue for 2 persons came to 60 euros instead of the 30 Euros advertised outside …..we had boriginon royale the meats were turkey, sausage and beef/ veal the quality of meat was VERY POOR accompanied by a green leaf salad with homemade dressings which to be fair was the highlight of the meal !! This was further complimented by a dish of locally grown varied coloured potatoes which were OVERCOOKED and seemed OLD . The Fondue of hot oil to cook our dish of POOR QUALITY mixed meat was NOT FRESH and soon wore out of heat to be able to Cook the meat sufficiently. The Italian waiter was more interested in flirting with two tables of single women than looking after the other dinning guests and was quite surprised to find out that English guests fully understood his conversation. The whole overall dinning experience felt like a Rip Off from start to finish The wine was the only saving grace reasonable priced Having a vast experience of the catering trade my self , I would say the actual food on table was valued at less than 20 euros plus 18 euros for wine so 50 euros would of been a reasonable price to pay but charged at 86 euro . Please don’t fall into this tourist trapMore

We decided not to have a starter and we were right! We chose the combination of pierrade and raclette, so we had different types of meat and of course, the cheese and potatoes. It was all delicious - prepared by ourselves!! Again, it is one...of the restaurants that you should book in advance as it is really popular amongst the Italians. It is a good set-up as they provide the ingredients and we do all the work. The quality is important of course, and it was good. We were not hurried at all and managed to find room for the chocolate fondue, again a hit! Great service, packed to the hilt for the right reasons!More
