This place has there system down. 1st seating 7:30, 2nd at 9:30. Community tables of 6-8. Waiter is trained to strongly suggest the quantity and selection of food for your group. So if you know what you want be prepared to be assertive. No matter...More

Dined at Acquacheta last night with my husband and 2 daughters. We had to reserve weeks in advance. We all agreed that it was good, but certainly didn't blow our minds. The host makes the guests stand outside while he calls you in like cattle....More

Between recommendations from prior diners, my cousins, and Rick Steves I could not wait to dine here. I was NOT disappointed. Excellent food, gracious host, and a lovely evening. Two sittings, reservations recommended.

I tried 2 more steaks in Firenze and Chianti, but here they have most juicy Tbone! Pasta was not so special, a bit sweet for me.

I’ve been here many times over the past 15 years and have probably reviewed it before. I hear a lot more English spoken then I used to but the food is still fantastic especially the famous steak. It has definitely grown in popularity. The days...More

Excellent osteria with local food. A must, the Fiorentina with great balance price/quality. The website price are outdated. Here some hints: Fiorentina is 3.3€ for 100g with an average cut of 1.6kg. Appetizers as well the pasta dishes around 8€ average. Homemade bread and desserts.

The Osteria ACQUACHETA, open for over 25 years, has retained the characteristics of the old Tuscan taverns. The kitchen, sharing tables, one glass for water and wine, and not least an authentic welcome and true, typically Tuscan, make it a local flavor ... you feel at home ... Managers, CHIARA and GIULIO, have maintained intact over the years the tradition of pasta, bread, cakes and homemade preserves to which are added succulent steaks cooked Florentine embers of wood. Local, small and very popular, is located in the upper part of the old town, a few steps from the main square.
