Tiny place with lack of Tuscan authenticity. Friendly service. Meals presentation like the fast food - fried vegetable tempura style in a paper hornet. Risotto like porridge. No food to match nice local Nobile and Brunello wines.

Well we’ve been on a bit of a trip through Tuscany and have been to all sorts of restaurants and if I am honest I felt a bit restauraunted out! So today was my wife’s birthday and so a special effort was needed, I had...More

This was recommended as one of the two best restaurants in town. We were there when they opened and it was a bit too warm in the restaurant. The waiters were friendly but a little stiff. We thought the food was good and although it...More

Cozy setting in the lovely village of Montepulciano. Delicious, contemporary twists on traditional Tuscan foods. The "coperto" (cover charge) is reasonable and included Prosecco and creamy white bean soup with quail egg. Kind, un-intrusive service and great wine recommendations.

With all the excellent reviews (and that it was a minute from our lodging) tried this out. Nice ambience, menu was a bit "fancy" for plain palettes. I loved the rabbit, everything was perfectly cooked, but a bit of a surprise to find such a...More

We went here for a birthday meal and it was nice but not quite as good as expected and certainly has competition from other restaurants in the town. Very good bread for a change and great complementary additions to our meal at the beginning and...More

Walking past this restaurant one night we thought it looked lovely and cosy so we booked a table for dinner for our last night in town. The atmosphere is lovely and we sat up in a little top alcove so it made it a very...More

The place has a warm and romantic atmosphere. Tables are nicely organized, and the outer places result in an even more characteristic mood. Prices are really fine. Staff is very kind and helpful. Tagliata tasted really good. Really suggested.

We had a nice dinner here. The food was great and service was friendly. The only thing I would rate negatively is that the restaurant is slightly too small for all those tables. It felt a bit claustrophobic. Otherwise very nice.

Description
The restaurant Le Logge del Vignola is located in the heart of Montepulciano's old town centre, across from the renowned loggia attributed to "Vignola". There are two elegant, comfortable rooms where, by candlelight, guests can savour dishes from the Tuscan repertoire as well as the restaurant's own distinctive cuisine, accompanied by excellent, local wines. The restaurant is air conditioned. There is a temporary exhibition of art works by Gino Filippeschi. Seasonally available ingredients form the basis of a cuisine that primarily features local products and, taking inspiration from tradition, reimagines them in a way that is adapted to today's tastes. Among the restaurant's offerings: a tasting menu of special cheeses, flambe cuisine and much more... The cellar is stocked with a careful selection of wines from Tuscany and beyond, with the possibility of pairing, even by the glass, suggested by Sommelier Massimo Stella. Owner: Massimo Stella, Executive Chef: Federico La Rocca.
