I must say the place is quite nice and modern. But unfortunately I didn't have a very pleasant experience. I ordered a chicken thigh and ... after three days I'm still trying to recover from it, probably it was cooked in too much oil or I don't know what, but ... Anyway, the vegetables were nice. My husband had stuffed... More

This is a busy place and it seems to get a lot of locals. Food was a little slow to arrive but I have no complaints as it was good as was the house wine. On top of that it was good value. But would I come back? Probably not, the waiting staff were just so miserable! It wasn’t a... More

We managed to be seated without a reservation but I would advise it. It is the essence of Ferrara cucina. Being truffle season, there are several dishes featuring truffles. The taglierini with butter, Parmigiana and truffles grated on top was fabulous. The owner, Sr. Enzo was very enthusiastic, sharing his extensive knowledge of the cured meats and seasonal ingredients. On... More

This is a great restaurant in Ferrara to have a bite. Typical place where the waiter will give you directly the pot. I would suggest to try pappardelle with duck ragout and since Ferrara as most of Emilia is great with every pork seasoned procedure appetizer composed by affettati is a must. Sometimes it could be noisy because of the... More

The deboned guinea hen with chestnuts and pomengranates was unbelievable. All the meat dishes sounded wonderful. The capelleti with pumpkin is a regional specialty. I enjoyed the guinea hen more. Very rich and easy to share. We also had an excellent bottle of Lambrusco. Nice lunch. The servers, however, are great at serving but not smiling. They all appeared to... More

Good food, personal attitude (ok, maybe the fact that a local guy made our reservation did it), but we enjoyed. The owner made pasta for my friend, just asking what she wanted (like- red or white sauce, with meat or pumpkins and so on, at the end saying- I will make for you! And it was good!) maybe this is... This must be one if the very best places to eat in Ferrara. Very good range of food, cooked superbly and served with style. Very busy so go early or book a table. Especially on a Saturday, we watched punter after punter bring turned away at the weekend. Fantastic atmosphere.

We had a reservation and were seated at once and given menus, but some 20 minutes passed before anyone so much as offered us a drink. The waitress informed me that my choice, the rabbit, was unavailable. I suppose I should have asked her to come back after I'd reconsidered but I thought it might be another 20 minutes before... I was there for a fast lunch on a nice Sunday, and sat in the outside area facing the centre of town and the cathedral. I had tagliatelle al ragu', a side of vegetables, a glass of wine and coffee, for a total of € 23. Excellent food, prompt service, pleasant atmosphere, I will go back and try some of... More
