Architecturally, this restaurant has the bones of an old mariner's tavern. A few coats of paint, new tiles, some art work and a very good selection of wines and beers, and a very welcoming proprietor confirm that you are in for a more interesting culinary experience. The very skillful chef and a good range of LIgurian specialties cooked to perfection... More

There are over a hundred hotels, beach concessions, restaurants and bars along the Alassio strand that would love to have your trade. Many are totally generic and some truly regrettable. This is one of the minority of restaurants that has both style and substance and at a moderate price. It is small and earns the respect of both locals and... More

Looking at my review of 17 months ago, the direction this restaurant has taken has been a positive one. There have been some minor tweaks in the decor. On an out of season Friday afternoon, the service was earnest and friendly. More importantly, the menu displays courage, talent and real insight into combining ingredients in a way that brings pleasure... More

According to local friends, this restaurant has had its ups and downs. On a Sunday afternoon they were nearly full-mostly, I suspect with transients. The service was capable if a little distant-perhaps because of the onslaught of more and more diners. Still, a little more warmth in the service would be appropriate. Overall, my wife and I were pleased with... More

We had a good lunch on the small stylish terrace. Friends told us about the Branzino with the Olive Crust. The fish was maybe not the catch of the day, but the presentation was modern and the overall taste was good. I personally liked the wine list very much. It is small but offers a fantastic selection of Italian wines.... More

An incredible example of Italian cousine. From sweet taste of a huge cup of mussel with an incredible soup of tomatoes and pesto, to finest fresh fishes of Ligurian Sea. The TOP is: Spaghetti with Sea Urchin, best I've ever tried in my entire life. Good and wide choice of wine from all over Italy. Everything surrounded by unique "hard"... More

Acqua Pazza is beautifully decorated - makes you want to go home and paint everything blue and white. The food was delicious - we shared a pasta course, then I had steak and my OH had Ligurian rabbit - I tried a bit of this and it was very tasty. Despite asking for my steak medium it was a wee... We had lunch 3 times in this restaurant, so we tried many different plates with my boyfriend and we've never been disappointed. This restaurant deserves a better ranking than today. To be tried with no hesitation. Few places to seat outside in front of the sea, very romantic and calm!
