We were not looking for "fast food" but this was appallingly slow service for some sandwiches and one fish & chips. Our drinks were served and a food order taken, then we had well over an hour's wait! We were on the point of walking when we were advised the order was nearly ready - another 10 minutes. Unfortunately after... More

If you like fish (who doesn't) then Wreckers is a great place to eat. We had to book 24 hours ahead to get a table but it was worth it. The night we went we chose to sit on the terrace as it was a lovely evening during the annual regatta and carnival which added to the atmosphere. We both... More

We ate here on our first night and were very impressed with the quality of the food. Four people eating main courses , one bottle of wine and some puddings we felt was on the pricey side. Service and everything else was excellent though !

We were lucky enough to sit outside and enjoy the weather on our visit. The food was excellent and had plenty of choice for everyone in our group. It was fresh and tasty. Great selection of cakes!

We came in out of the rain to find a real gem. The seafood on offer was only amazing and had plenty of variety. The service was prompt and always delivered with a smile. It was so good we went back the next night for more delights.

We'd booked this wonderful restaurant for the first day of our visit, and on the other two days we'd planned to eat somewhere else but on each occasion we both decided that the other places wouldn't be as good. The food was wonderful; we had locally caught fish on each occasion, with perfectly cooked vegetables. Very interesting local cheeses to... More

We found wreckers after following the footpath from Carlyon bay. We had a super lunch there and thought the atmosphere was great. It was because of this that we booked to eat there again one evening later in the week. We were not disappointed, again the food was fabulous and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening.

Can't say I'm overly impressed with this restaurant. The food wasn't particularly special (just standard cafe food) and I was relatively disappointed with the cornish pasty I ordered (tasted like it had come out of a packet and been microwaved). The staff were helpful and accommodating but the service was slow (some might say relaxed) and I was slightly unsettled... More

Looks very nice and has a trendy metropolitan feel so we booked it for the last night of our holiday. Conclusion: London prices for provincial ordinariness. Waited 35 mins for our "welcome" drinks and then after another 10 mins nobody had taken our order to we had to call over a wandering waiter. Ended up being served by several different... More
