During my visit to Oman, visited this restaurant with a local friend for lunch. He insisted that, this is a restaurant, which is mostly frequented by the Indians and wanted me to experience it. We visited the restaurant, post peak hours, so there was not...much crowd. The buffet spread was elaborate and the food was fantastic. Food was not up to the expectation, gravies are much watery kind and breads( paratha /chapati) were not there only, it was empty.. even though they have mentioned in their daily buffet menu. When it comes to the desserts, no pudding, no sweets. Just cut...fruits and payasam were there which was cold, not even fresh. This buffet is value for money if you are a non vegetarian but for vegetarians spread is definitely limited. Deserts are good, salad is good. Worth visiting once. One of the few restaurants in Muscat which has a dinner buffet.
My 4 colleagues and I dined at the Parkway tonight as it is 100m from our hotel. The buffet is a superb array of Keralan dishes, presented in a clean and welcoming environment. From soup soup starters to desserts, there is something for everyone. My...chums and I, all hearty eaters were replete, having only scratched the surface of the plentiful offerings. Bread and soft drinks are extra but do not break the bank. Current charge per head excluding the latter is RO3.5 (£7.00 dependant on exchange rate). Very good buffet with a good selection of veg and non veg dishes for a very reasonable price. Dragon chicken is what i personally found the best. If not the buffet, they have some very good authentic malabar dishes. The nadan chicken curry is very...good, although it does depend on the cook because once it wasnt so great.More
We visited the Parkway with work colleagues as recommended by one of our colleagues and where pleasantly surprised. With plenty of option for food in Ruwi I had never notice this place before. Firstly this is a great place to visit on a budget the...prices are really affordable, secondly the dishes are limited but cooked fresh everyday and extremely yummy. There is plenty for carnivores as there are for vegetarians. Two dishes that stood out for me where the beef curry, which was very spicy but flavoursome and the daal which was absolutely heavenly. Their Buffet Offer is 2.5RO Appreciated (Buffet Offer is Limited Days), But Food is Kerala based Recipes. If you like kerala food you can enjoy.
Went there for lunch with a colleague today. We were one of the first to enter at about 12PM. But very soon few tables were occupied. Started with a soup and salad. Other dishes in the buffet were chicken biriyani, dum ka chicken, a fish...item, Beef in sauce, a mushroom dish, hong kong veg, chicken adrak, rice and another veg item, For dessert there was custard, fruits, kheer, jelly, halwa and mysore pak. The usual buffet rate is RO3.5 but there is an offer for a few days due to which they charge RO 2.5.More
