Waiter encouraged us to have the meal for 4 and it was more than we could eat. The fish/beef/chicken/camel were bursting with flavour as was the selection of starters and the sweets, notable for frankincense ice cream.More

Before visiting the restaurant I had read that it was one of the best food experiences in Oman. We went with my husband and kids and I think most of the clients were tourists. The restaurant was freezing cold inside and we asked them to...increase the temperature which they did. The food was not bad (I tried the camel meat which was a revelation -tender and tasty- but with more potatoes than meat in the dish), but the service was rather indifferent. They did not seem to care much and it took them ages to bring us the bill, although we had made it clear that we really wanted to leave. I would not return.More

Wanted to try some traditional food while in Oman and on searching online found this restaurant. The food and service were exceptional. Had the fish soup then slow cooked beef and a camel biriyani, followed by a traditional desert. All dishes were recommended by the...service manager who was very helpful. Wait staff were attentive and very good at what they do. Total cost was approx $80 Australian dollars. Very reasonable for 2. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.More
For the best Hi-Tea in town I would recommend Ubhar Restaurant with no doubt. Ubhar is an Omani cuisine restaurant and I always find myself going there for their breakfast or hi-tea. Their hi-tea has a great selection of Omani and Continental snacks with your...choice of tea or coffee. Loved their selection of savory and sweet snacks which come very well presented in a 3 tiered stand.
Priced at 5.5 Omr I think it’s a great value for money as well.More
Went there for lunch around 2 pm. Walked from W hotel. Big menu, lot of choices. Hira Singh, our server was very sweet and helpful. Had Camel Biryani and Shark entree. Camel meat was delicious. Reminded me of a milder version of Goat meat. Omani...Halwa for dessert was good. Lot of locals and tourists - diverse crowd.More
