Lovely country pub with delicious freshly cooked food and an interesting menu. One of Herefords best places to eat. Slightly out of the way sadly but worth the drive.

We went here before the Ball and Boe concert and had a pretty good lunch. The staff and the gardens are what makes this place. The greeting was lovely, the weather perfect and the garden with its stream beautiful.

Thank you for you comments these are always welcome, Apologies for your steak this very rarely happens and I know how it can spoil the meal as you end up eating whilst others have finished. As for the fryer, oil is filtered every day and...More

We came here for Sunday lunch and to be honest it was all pretty standard stuff. We waited for ages, when the place wasn't overly busy. I rarely complain or moan about waiting because it usually means that everything is deathly cooked etc. But it...More

Thank you for your review. Can't believe you thought our roasts were average. We pride ourselves in using local quality ingredient for our menus and therefore this carries a higher premium, but is well worth it for its flavour. Our beef (Sirloin) supplied by our...More

We were attracted because we had heard that they brew their own beer, which is the case, but only around once a month and it soon sells out. Still, the Wye Valley ales were excellent. it was a lovely evening and the staff were very...More

Description
A lovely old half-timbered pub in gorgeous countryside 8 miles SE of Hereford and a few miles from Ledbury, Ross and Malvern. Run by chef Stephen Bull. The pub's food is sourced from local ingredients, and there are cask ales and local cider and perry. The Butchers runs regular special food and wine evenings (dates posted on website). Large garden with stream for nice days, two roaring fires in the winter. Separate room bookable for parties. Family and dog friendly. Warm welcome.
