Arrived on spec without calling ahead. Received a very warm welcome and fitted in. The food was delicious and plentiful. I especially enjoyed the variety of fresh seasonal vegetables. We were a group of 6, 4 adults and 2 young children, and everyone enjoyed their meal.

Me and my wife visited for Sunday lunch with our dog maisy. We both ordered the roast beef followed by sharing a stickee toffee pudding. Food and Service was excellent. Will definitely recommend. Really nice atmosphere in the pub.

Quite possibly one of the best places we’ve ever eaten! We were travelling home today after storm Darragh and came across Plas Yn Dinas. There were 10 of us altogether and from the moment we walked in they made us feel so welcome!! The food was absolutely outstanding and all 10 of us left raving about it. So much so that we’re actually debating making the 4 hour round trip in the future to eat there again. Can’t recommend enough!

We were recommended Plas y Dinas for Sunday lunch. Two of us are vegetarian and the only offer for us was mushroom pasta (my friend doesn’t like mushrooms anyway). As we wanted traditional Sunday Lunch we asked if we could have vegetables with Yorkshire pudding and gravy. When it came we were told there was no gravy! So, a dry meal with very undercooked vegetables, so hard they were inedible, and a passable Yorkshire pudding but sad without gravy. One member of the group had roast beef which was mostly sinew and very little edible meat. All of us said the vegetables were too hard, although we all like a bit of ‘bite’ to our veg these were almost raw. Starter and desert were ok, but not exceptional. We will not be eating there again. It is not beyond the skill of most chefs to cater for vegetarians, even by offering a nut roast or beetroot Wellington with cauliflower cheese and gravy!

Food has definitely gone downhill, service was still good. Pretty much the worst prawn cocktail I've ever had - measly portion of prawns, pitiful bit of salad. Had fish & chips for main - below average. Decent beer selection, still nice surroundings

Excellent in every way.....service, food, location and dog friendly (bar area) too !
We had starters of pate and mushrooms, mains were crispy beef and a steak burger. All delicious.
Plas Yn Dinas would be a regular for us if we lived locally but we were in the area on holiday. A lucky find!

The food was hit and miss. Some things were dry and over cooked. My friend had the Tagliatelle which was so oily! Disappointing experience. We will not be returning as it’s not the first time the food has been disappointing. Me and my husband were not happy with our pizza night take away either. Especially when you travel 20 mins to get it! It is a shame as it use to be a good pub with good food! However the bar lady is absolutely lovely and welcomes everyone!

Fantastic pub vibe and staff are really warm and accommodating but sadly the food does not reflect the prices 😟. The food we had was not good quality, frozen chips and overcooked dry chicken. More pub grub but with gastro price which is such a shame as if this was reviewed the pub would be fabulous!

First meal out since the whole COVID-19 thing started. I was really looking forward to this but was left disappointed. The burger was tasty but fries had to be ordered as a side which made it poor value. Staff a little inattentive and don’t seem to cater for little ones. Appreciate it’s difficult times but I think you can do better. On the plus side social distancing is managed very well.

An absolute gem of a place. We all had T-bone steaks cooked exactly as we had asked for. Absolutely delicious and you really didn’t need a steak knife, they were that good.
Friendly, welcoming and efficient staff. Beautifully decorated. Looking forward to the weather improving so we can sample the beer garden too. The dog found it very relaxing!

Our first trip to the area and we found this delightful pub for our lunch. Whilst the traditional Sunday roast and all of the trimmings was available we were tempted to have something different from the menu and and we were not disappointed. Well prepared and presented dishes and more to the point, tasteful and very enjoyable. Unfortunately we had enjoyed a starter and thus failed to partake of a sweet course.
Lovely pub with very attentive staff. Enjoy

We decided spontaneously to eat here. Fortunately not having a reservation wasn’t a problem. One of us ate gluten-free and lactose-free. There were multiple options available. Our dinner tasted really good! I had the chicken with Mediterranean vegetables. Highly recommended.
It was well spiced.
Forgot to make pictures of desert, but that was very tasty too. Pavlova with lactose free ice cream. Yummy!

Superb opening night for Doug and the team on Thursday and we visited again last night to try the burgers' have to say probably one of the best burgers I have ever eaten! And the homemade coleslaw was excellent. A great atmosphere in the place and the new young staff very attentive. Great to have our local village pub open again...
