I received in the mail an invitation to a special meal deal for my birthday. Having been here several times before and knowing this restaurant I was happy to accept. Windows has a great outlook over Port Phillip Bay and a quality dining area, it is a great place for a meal. We both enjoyed Home made Turkish bread, then... More

There is one clear selling point for this place; the view over the bay is stunning and each summer sunset provides a wonderful backdrop to a dining experience. Considering the fact that the restaurant is used as a function centre too, the menu is pleasingly vibrant and changes regularly. The set menus offer superb value for money but be aware... More

Visited Windows on the Bay for a birthday lunch for my partner. We have been there several times for celebratory lunches and have until now enjoyed every aspect of the food. Today we ordered the $40, 2 course special for him and one main course for me. I chose the mushroom souffle with pickled exotic mushrooms and celeriac, as it... More

Went here for lunch to catch up with a friend I'd not seen for many years. What a perfect setting, we had a table by the window overlooking the beach. Service was great and unhurried, we took almost 3 hours to have lunch but not once were made to feel that we had outstayed our welcome. Excellent 40 dollar lunch... More

We have visited this Iconic restaurant quite often over many years and it never fails to impress. The food is always fabulous and the atmosphere and service are excellent. All staff make you feel special and help you really enjoy your experience there. One of our favorite spots to enjoy a good dining experience are at a reasonable price. Use... More

Christmas Day lunch was a very pleasant surprise and we couldn't have been happier with our choice. On arrival we were shown to a lovely table at the front of the restaurant right on the window with a beautiful view. The airconditioning worked well on such a hot day so we felt cool and confortable even though the restaurant was... More

The service was good, but a little dispassionate. The air-conditioning was inadequate for those seated by the windows. The food was reasonable, but the servings overdone and not enough choices for vegetables. The wine list was adequate.

We visited here last week for a work Christmas dinner, it was my first time at windows but I believe our business is annually a return client. What a wonderful restaurant. At first glance it is well situated with lovely tall glass doors for an entrance where you are then greeted by the cashier with a well stocked bar to... More

Not a good start when on a warm night for dinner with friends, no sparkling mineral water was available. I guess there always has to be a first time! Unremarkable food even though the kitchen tried hard. My flathead tails were over salted, and my chips old and sign. Being adjacent to the water, I expected this to be a... More

Thank you for you feedback - it has been passed on to our chefs. Our signature dish is in fact the pork belly and the fish and chips is sometimes featured on our specials menus. We have had plenty of mineral water all week so I am very sorry if there was a misunderstanding regarding this. More

Caught up with a girlfriend for lunch on a sunny Melbourne week day. Caught the train, which was a really good idea since the fee to park close to the restaurant is $12 for 4 hours - ouch! We were warmly greeted by wait staff who were keen to serve and please. Menu has a number of offerings and won't... More
