Popped in ad-hoc for Sunday lunch. The place was packed, luckily though we were offered one of three non reserved tables. Hubby had a pint of 'yeaster' ale which he enjoyed. The pork & beef roasts were yummy, with a lovely cauliflower cheese, veggies and homemade yorkie pud. Delicious. We only live in Faversham and will definitely be back -... More

My friend and i had our dogs with us and after a long walk was pleased to see that we could eat inside with both dogs. Food was lovely but the service was even more special. Landlady was so welcoming and friendly we will be back thats for sure.

Went there to celebrate a birthday. Service was very good, food was excellent. Managed to deal with our gluten free for dinner and pudding, much to our delight. Portion size was very good. Couldn't have managed three courses. Cosy and warm place, all the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Will be back again when weather is better and make... More

Although, at the moment, we only attend one evening a month for jazz. we hope as better weather arrives we will find our way in our classic car, as the food is worth the trip. They are all pleasant and make you feel very welcome. Unfortunately it is not the best drive on a rainy windy dark night but the... More

Now I am sure the previous landlord was absolutely fine, but I never visited during his or her tenure. The pub itself is over 400years old and is awash with exposed beams and feels like and is a really lovely old English pub. The new managers offer a really sincere and warm welcome, it felt like my local within minutes... More

A group of seven of us went to the Chequers for Sunday Lunch. New Landlords Phil and Rebecca made us very welcome. The starters were enjoyed by all and an excellent roast dinner was served. The gravy and cauliflower cheese were both gluten free, and very very tasty! It was a good sized meal, although I can't eat wheat the... More

My friend and I stopped at The Chequers Inn for lunch on a Saturday afternoon which just happened to be the last day of the year in 2016. The were no customers in the restaurant when we arrived, however, a few more people did arrive while we were eating. My friend had bangers and mash and apple and raspberry crumble... More

A listed coaching inn set in the heart of the Kent countryside. The Chequers oozes history and charm with its oak timbers, mullion windows and inglenook fireplace. A fine selection of real ales and wines. The home cooked food is excellent, locally sourced and good value for money. There is a large outside seating area, with a family garden to the rear.
