Hi, I am a regular visitor to the pub mainly for a drink. One thing I must comment on is you have some really friendly staff. Orlando , Lana, Sophie always make me feel welcome and are doing there very best in a very difficult...situation. Evertime I am in I often see them working the bar and tables and seem to be under a lot of pressure. However what a credit to your pub that they are prepared to work in what is quite obvious to the eye a difficult job with the staffing levels. I was in on Sunday 4th September the place was very busy and I cannot believe that there was only two people working bar and restaurant. However both Orlando and Sophie kept smiling and tried there best to keep everybody happy. Well done on recruiting good staff but staffing levels like this is gonna harm your business in the long runMore

Myself and my family (11 of us) had booked in advanced for the carvery. When we arrived we were told that there was no more carvery left……….. Hang on, you have a physical list of all bookings for the Sunday yet somehow you managed to...run out of food……. So either you are being too generous with your portions or you are just not ordering for the expected amount of people for a Sunday????? Ok, so we ordered off the main menu, there was hardly anything left on the kids menu and what was served for the children I wouldn’t feed my dog, plus items we had to replace because there weren’t any were replaced by the wrong item. The adult meals weren’t too bad however one meal was missed and so they were eating while we had desserts. What makes this worse is the place was practically empty, I could understand and sympathise if the place had been rammed but it really wasn’t. I can’t fault the staff, the waitress was fantastic she was run ragged as I only saw 2 waitresses and although it wasn’t busy there was still tables to clear and people to serve & I felt even with all that stress she still put a smile on her face and remained very professional, she doesn’t deserve to work there she deserves somewhere far better. All I can say is that management needs to look at where this place is going wrong, fix the lack of communication between front of house staff and kitchen staff and listen to the customers orders. Sit down and work out stock needed for particular days. It really does say something that when you walk in with kids you are asked if you are just here for the soft play area, which in my opinion we should have not paid extra for if we were dining there, maybe put a minimum food order amount and then the kids can play for free. I’m not saying don’t eat there I’m just warning people to be prepared to have a few food options ready as they never seem to have a lot of anything.More

Wouldn’t normally write a bad review especially at this difficult time for the hospitality industry, but surely if you want customers, then ensure your customers are given a quality service so they frequent your establishment. How can you run a pub open on a Sunday...but not have enough food. Booked a table earlier in the week for 11 people at 16.15 hrs on Sunday, hoping to have a nice carvery to celebrate fathers 88th birthday. Arrived and shown straight to our table which was great. Went to order food, no carvery left but able to order from the main menu, not a problem, except having 5 children in the party who all chose meals from the kids menu to be told, no pizza, no Mac and cheese, no Choc brownies. Ok so what exactly have they got left that we can order ! Even then when kids meal were brought to the table some were wrong but to be fair by this time we were fed up so just got on with what they had been served. Adult meals were passable,if they had not forgotten to do one of the adult meals, which left one of the party eating when everyone else had finished. Not sure how this pub has managed to achieve a 4 rating on trip advisor. If you can’t provide a meal as advertised don’t take bookings. The only saving grace were the staff who were polite, friendly and apologetic. Will not be going back to this particular pub.More

Really disappointed the manager of this pub should be ashamed. Today my wife spent our day bowling with the kids and decided to go for lunch at The Great park pub. The food was average mainly due to the pathetic size of the kids pasta...and the very over cooked fish bites and chicken nuggets. This only paved the way for more disappointment when the kids paid to play in the soft play area. It turns out that although our daughter was told she was too tall to go in, fair enough at 11 years old. The staff turned a blind eye to other children of the same age and height as our daughter. These kids who had no wrist bands on and were way to big for the soft play. Proceeded to bully, chase and kick our 9 year old until he cried. And then their mom shouted and swore at my wife and tried to physically intimidate her in front of a play area full of kids, classy lady. While this was happening the staff just watched and did nothing. Shocking place please avoid at all costs. Please see the photos attached of the wonderful gifts our son came home with. SHOCKINGMore

Shelby and Orlando are the greatest! So accommodating and friendly! It was like we were old friends! Cheap drinks, decent food and a great welcome. What more could you want! The manager was also amazing - i think she was called Deb ? (sorry!) but...again so so lovely. The only thing i would say is get the company to invest in a better cleaning fluid as the tables were always so so sticky ! But even this didn't stop us having a great time with Shelby and OrlandoMore

I stayed at the conjoined premier inn on a Monday - Sunday for buisness. I used brewers fayre most mornings for breakfast, I was greeted by the same lady - Lisa - nearly every morning, she was absolutely lovely, always had a smile even at...7am! I miss home the most during the mornings so she helped cheer me up! My breakfast was beautiful everyday during the week, espically the hashbrowns😋 and you can have however much you want of everything on the menu. The continental spread is also quite impressive for a small pub. However, during the weekend the cooked breakfast was a bit more hit and miss, I'm guessing things were made more in batches as it did get chaotic. Wasn't too fussed but thought it could be worth a mention. Early morning it was nice but after around 9.30am it got a bit worse. I went twice in the week for dinner, thought the play area was a nice feature, liked that older people like myself were sat away from it while families were closer to it for convenience. Worth to note though that there was certain menu items that they didn't have, might be worth checking before ordering. Night one was informed about it being fully bar service so I headed up, there was quite a queue but didn't take too long to get down. The staff were all lovely and efficient, when they didn't have what I initially wanted I didn't feel rushed by the lady at the bar to pick something else, she did my drink while I had a quick look and picked something else. Opted for the rump steak rare. It was lovely! Onion rings, peas, tomato, everything. Chips were a bit cold so I informed the young girl and she bought me some fresh ones out within a minute they were much better. Opted for a brownie for dessert, it arrived quickly after I asked for it. It was great. Night two was pretty much the same, long queue but got down quick. Was greeted by the same lady on the bar but this time I ordered the ultimate filled yorkie with extra gravy, it was amazing but very filling. Everything was piping hot so didn't have to send it back so was very happy. Eton mess for dessert was also great. Overall very happy with my experience- thank you to all the team and the chefs for a lovely experience- I'll definitely be coming back when I come to Birmingham again!More

Just come back from a weekend visit and this place was fantastic. The staff especially Shelby could not have been more welcoming and friendly and she really knew her job. Orlando was great as was the lady on with Shelby on Saturday night (I'm sorry...I forget your name) and the food and drinks were so reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend and return.More

I came in for breakfast, and was greeted by a lovely young woman, Larna, who explained everything to me and helped me go through the menu, as I have some quite specific dietary requirements. She was back and forth to the kitchen to check with...the chef, Dean, being so helpful. I couldn’t have asked for better service! My food arrived and, without exaggeration, this was the best breakfast I’ve eaten in a long time! The food was hot, tasty, and there was plenty of it! Both Dean and Larna are a credit to your business and, while I rarely use Trip Advisor, I felt compelled to on this occasion! Thank you for making me feel so welcome and for the lovely breakfast!More

Told that there would be a 30 minute wait for meal. My starter (Prawn Cocktail - no cooking required) atrrived 1 hour later. I then spoke to a waitress who sent the manager to me, I explained that I had now been waiting for1 hour...and 25 minutes for my main meal. Manager offered me a free PINT which would have put me over the drink drive limit. Last time I ever enter that place !! PS food was average.More
