Booked for lunch today as was fully booked for all other slots. Was trying it out before booking for 10 at the end of the month. Was disappointing compared to the article. It was an ok pub standard meal aspiring to be more. If you go with that in mind you will enjoy it. It's certainly not the best restaurant... More
We visited the Hole in the wall in the Summer of 2016 and it was something else. Actually, it was out of this world amazing. I had heard about the place due to its owner, which was in the final of a well known British cooking show. The feel of the place is unique, outside and inside, the food is... More
My first trip to the hole in the wall and after reading the reviews and hearing good things i had a high expectation. It was met. From the start to finish i was really impressed. The building is wonderful and quaint, you walk into the bar and the welcome is friendly and relaxing but very formal. Drinks are nice but... More
This restaurant is a little gem, the food is very very good. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and not stuffy. Been here twice now and really had a great evening.

We experienced the Tasting menu on a Saturday night. Each course was superbly prepared and tasted amazing. The flavours were intense and the flight of wine perfectly complemented each course. It was a relaxing meal in lovely surroundings. Thouroughly recommend this restaurant.
I have been meaning to visit this restaurant for years and finally managed to get there at last. Why did I wait so long? Excellent, and slightly quirky, menu, friendly and knowledgeable staff ready to help, great tasting food, and excellent wines. Try the unfiltered organic white Sicilian. What a treat. The kitchen was prepared to cook up a special... More
I booked about 2 weeks beforehand, and the person I spoke to was very friendly, filling me with confidence that I had made the correct decision. On the night (31st Jan) we were welcomed into the snug - bar area, and made comfortable. (We did get there early). We went through to the restaurant area by very polite staff. The... More
