The Anima restaurant is truly a culinary gem! I have been a regular customer for 2 years now and every time it is a fantastic experience.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is refined and welcoming, the staff is extremely courteous and professional, ready to satisfy every request with attention and care.
Each course is a sensory journey. From the aperitif with the Amuse-bouche, to the delicious appetizers, to the main courses and the exquisite desserts that end the dinner in style, each dish is a surprise for the palate. The menu is studied down to the smallest detail and offers a selection of dishes designed for each season, therefore changing regularly, always guaranteeing freshness and originality.
Furthermore, the wine list offers a vast range of regional and national labels, allowing each course to be accompanied with the right pairing.
I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic, top-notch gastronomic experience in Abruzzo!

An absolute platinum restaurant, the chef knows what he’s doing and has a passion for flavours. Melt in your mouth cuisine, quality locally sourced ingredients. An unbelievable gem tucked up in a small village in the Abruzzo mountains above Sulmona. A very fine wine selection. Everything is perfection. Prices are reasonable. Highly recommended.

We are lucky enough to live not far from this splendid place so every special occasion is a good one for us to indulge in what we consider an idyllic experience for our palates. The well-kept location and the intimate environment, the kindness and professionalism of the owners accompany dishes with unexpectedly delicious combinations! I highly recommend a visit that you will want to repeat as soon as possible!

Food of decent quality, little choice of courses, certainly not suitable for families with children, they were not able to satisfy their requests with simple dishes, but the waiter was capable of selling a micro fillet at a cost of €28 each. Unjustified prices compared to the raw materials used. Dining outdoors under an awning, with insects falling onto your plate (I highly recommend finding a solution to this unpleasant situation) is not exactly the best. I doubt I want to return and recommend.

This is one of the gems of my entire Italian vacation. I have spent time in Florence and Rome and Milan and not had a meal or dining experience as high quality and outstanding as this restaurant. It is so authentic and real, the food has stories behind it as 2 brothers own and run the restaurant. We were welcomed as family and felt like we were treated as though we were the only people in the restaurant. I can’t speak any more highly of this restaurant. One of my favorite restaurants, period. Plain and simple. The best.

I returned with my wife to Anima after quite a few months and the quality and preparation of the food always leaves me amazed. You see and hear a refined cuisine created on a traditional basis which creates a very interesting combination.
It baffles me how it wasn't given at least one star.... It deserves it all also for the variety of wines offered.

Beautiful discovery returning from Scanno. The restaurant is very nice, the food great, the chef's welcome is a mini sandwich with frayed pork, cherry tomatoes and guacamole combined with a potato meatball on red beet cream and a freshly scalded sausage. Excellent first courses, all and exceptional desserts from white chocolate mousse and passion fruit to vanilla ice cream or a thousand leaves to red fruits. Really to come back!

This was our 2nd time at Anima, right in our town of Introdacqua. Boy oh boy - have they grown up! Lovely almost nouvelle cuisine, served elegantly, in sufficient quantity with superb wines. Dressier than the Trota, also in town - and much more intimate. Superb service, wonderful food, great atmosphere reasonable prices. Do go!

Anima is a great fine dining restaurant with a casual and quaint ambiance. They offer refined, and sophisticated cuisine at a very fair price. Each dish is prepared with the highest quality and locally sourced ingredients. The menu is updated every few months to feature dishes that compliment the season. Not only is Chef Nicholas technically trained but also passionate about his work, providing artistic presentation paired with delicious flavour combinations that are outside of the box. Every detail is taken care of, including the courteous service. If you are a wine lover, they are excellent at recommending the perfect wine too. This place is a must visit for a truly unique dining experience that exceeds any other restaurant that I have been to.

The food served at Anima is delicious! The atmosphere is welcoming, the waiters are informative, and the food is artfully created by an amazing chef. We enjoyed breakfast, lunch, appertivo, and dinner there and all were exquisite. We could not walk by the place without stopping in for some delicious treat. During our stay, we visited Anima almost daily, sitting mostly outside and on one occasion inside the beautifully restored interior. Every meal excited our palettes and our eyes! While this restaurant may be the most expensive in the delightful village of Introdacqua, it is in relative terms to the rest of the world, the most reasonably priced gourmet meal you will find in your travels. I can't recommend it highly enough!

We enjoyed 2 lovely meals here and would have gone again if they weren't already fully booked. Interesting and beautifully presented meals, a good wine list and amazing desserts along with very friendly and courteous staff.
