The food is brilliant. The service was not so good. Ignored at first and then interrupted to double check our details. Twice.

Visited today to try out their new afternoon tea and can't fault it. Huge portions, great sandwich fillings and the best sausage roll lollies and yummy scotch eggs. The cakes were plentiful and delicious. We will definitely be back!

Visited on a Friday night and it was warm and cosy and the rib-eye steak was done perfectly. My colleague had the Monk Burger and even with a steak I had a bit of food envy. Love this place!

We have been dining at this amazing restaurant for over a year, the chef is incredible and the staff led by Michelle (one of the owners) always make the experience special and memorable.

This was a special occasion and the host bought dinner for all her quests. The starter was lovely, alas the main being a roast wasn’t very special, the gravy was so salty that thankfully I didn’t pour it over my dinner, like quite a few people...More

Firstly do not assume a less than excellent review is a 'hater'! My review was an honest account of my visit... The manager could have responded if he felt anything said was unfair. As a first time diner, who had driven some... More

Tucked away in the Cambridgeshire fens, The Merry Monk started life as three cottages in the 17th Century and from there became The Red Lion Public House until 1992 when it was renamed The Merry Monk. Roaring log fires for cosiness during the winter months and a garden rounding off a gorgeous country restaurant offer perfection for enjoyment throughout the year. Our focus at the Merry Monk is a casual and inviting atmosphere.
