We have been here a few times and the food is always good. My daughter loves the lentil stew. The cakes are fantastic and look home made. It's value for money as a lot of the eating places are quite expensive here.

During a drive round the quiet part of the Lakes spotted a sign for this place just as lunchtime beckoned. Although in a fairly remote part of the Lakes it was very busy with most tables taken and although it was a beautiful day it was a Tuesday in November so I would imagine it gets packed during summer and... I came here with a friend for brunch. I had french onion soup, a chocolate milkshake and lemon meringue pie. The food was lovely. I can honestly say the soup was some of the best I've ever had. My friend also loved her meal. The staff were very friendly and the service was brilliant. I would definitely go back and... More

Numerous years ago I used to visit this Tea Room on a regular basis. I went back there yesterday whilst in the area. It was always a good option for a lunch stop. Nothings changed in this respect. Had tea and cakes there yesterday, they were exceptionally good, and well worthy of mention and recommendation. The staff are lovely and... More

Great coffee in a pleasant location amongst the trees of lower Eskdale. Fantastic looking cakes, happy clients, cheerful staff, good prices. What is not to like?

We visited for breakfast and tea and cake whilst staying in the local campsite which was a 5 minute walk down the river. The cakes were homemade, huge and delightful and the breakfast served with homemade tasty bread. The staff were lovely and friendly and the cafe was cute with a nice craft shop situated next door. We all enjoyed... More
