Intimate pub with lots of books and crannies. Great beer, huge selection of both Irish whiskey and gin. Food is reasonably priced, freshly prepared and delicious. Highly recommend the steak & ale pie.

When choosing a pub for dinner we always naturally come to The Bulls Head. The food, service and atmosphere is fantastic. You can't book a table here, but in all the years we have been coming I have never waiting more than 15 minutes for...More

Unlike a lot of pubs around us these guys know how to run a good pub. Nice atmosphere, great service, lovely food and prices not too expensive. The Bulls Head has it all plus it’s a very pretty pub in a nice location. The food...More

My wife and I went in for Xmas Eve lunch, having eaten there a fair few times over the years. I had monkfish and shellfish chowder from the specials menu, and I have to say it was absolutely delicious. Tim Bird ,the owner, was particularly chirpy (geddit?),having...More

Warm, welcoming, friendly, traditional – just some of the words to describe this super pub. Good beer, wine and food and a great atmosphere helped by happy staff in an old style setting. Just right!

We were a group of 19 walkers. The staff were very helpful throughout the booking process. They went out of their way to ensure we could park, have a coffee, go for a walk and then come back for a late christmas lunch. They arranged...More

All the dishes on the menu are tasty and good portions, but what sets this pub apart is how friendly every member of staff is. All who arrive are treated like an old friend, and on top of a delightful traditional interior, the combination makes...More

The Bull's Head is a favourite quintessential english pub with beams nooks and crannies, candles and a very cosy atmosphere, however the Sunday lunch is wanting. The yorkshire pudding was yummy, however the roast potatoes were heavy, mircrowaved I suspect,we had to send them back,...More

Sadly, you can't book in advance, which is a bit off putting if travelling some distance, but luckily, managed to get a table after only a short wait. Menu pretty varied, two veggie choices, a lot of traditional food. Portion sizes generous. Dessert of apple...More

You do realize you’re posing this question to people who have reviewed the pub....not the pub itself right?! You’d be better off contacting them. We sat outside so no we didn’t experience a pub quiz.

The pub can get busy but the tables turn over quickly and the staff are very helpful in getting you seated. The food is really good and outside of 8pm Saturday and 1pm Sunday I'm sure it'll be worth it.
