as a group we had the chateau briande and the dover sole (the most expensive items on the menu) the sole was okay and the steak was chewy so not great. The service is good and its a nice atmosphere.

Said our farewells in this lovely hotel with views of the Thames. For a large hotel it catered for intimate receptions.

The restaurant was reasonably full with a pleasant upbeat chatty atmosphere and maybe the staff were short in numbers but we ordered at the earliest opportunity then waited nearly an hour for starters, didn't have the main course until nearly 2 hours in and the...More

The food here is very good - I had scallops and then a lamb main course, followed by the cheesecake. All were cooked well and presented nicely. Service is to a high standard, with attentive, but not intrusive, waiters. There's an amazing view over the...More

Great location with a brilliant view when sat next to the window. The staff are friendly and very attentive. We had the set fixed price menu. It was good value. However, the kale leafs in the sweetcorn soup didn't really work for me. The salad...More

Of all the restaurants in South West London, The Petersham in Richmond is without a doubt one of the finest. With the 5 rating in The Good Food Guide, the Gordon Ramsay trained Chef, restaurant's ambience and panoramic views of the River Thames and surrounding water meadow, it truly is a special venue for any occasion. For private dining, the Alcove off the main restaurant, seats up to 12 guests offering the same classical dining that can be experienced in the restaurant with all the privacy of a secluded area.
