I took two friends from overseas here for a mid morning pick-me-up. Even on a Monday morning, virtually in the middle of nowhere, it was busy. That says something, doesn't it? The sun was out between showers, and other customers enjoyed being served outside. Gorgeous...More

Lovely cafe which they are just extending. Lovely environment which feels very spacious as there are floor to ceiling windows offering views of the hills beyond. Unfortunatley, the water wasn't working on the day we were there but we had a variety of drinks to...More

Thank you for your review. I’m sorry that the water wasn’t working the day you visited. There was a problem in the neighbouring village which cut off the water in the whole of Finzean for an hour that day. Hope to see you sometime soon!

This cafe is on two levels with a picture window across to the Clachnaben hill. There's also seats outside for use on good days with a view impeded only by cars in the overflow car park! I had a cheese scone, which was very good...More

This small farm shop and restaurant is a short car journey (or bike ride) from Banchory or Aboyne, and has magnificent views over the valley of the River Feugh. It can be busy but you'll usually get a table without booking. Either upstairs or downstairs...More

As mentioned many times so far within my reviews, I do not believe there is a really 'descent' coffee shop in the Aberdeenshire (and in the whole UK I would say). This farmhouse shop is one of the best alternatives as I call them. It...More
